Quinnphill8's First Grow

This is my first grow. The plant sprouted 2 weeks ago in a windowsill. We then moved it to a more sunlit area and has noticeable leaf growth everyday. sorry bout the quality... but if you notice its kind of straining anyway I could slow that down or any tips in general?

Yeah it germinated with not enough light so it's stretching for it.

You made need to use a 5" peastick and use that for support, tie it with soft string at the bottom and top.

You can remove the stick when you re- pot as it will be stronger then.

Re: Quinnphill8's First Grow

as mcherbie mentioned its stretched for light, as its not getting enough, you need to place it under some artificial lighting as it doesnt look healthy, it wont last too much longer as it is now

Re: Quinnphill8's First Grow

Winter isn't the best for starting a grow using sunlight. Go with some cheap CFLs if your strapped for cash, they work rather well.

Re: Quinnphill8's First Grow

UPDATE: moved plant inside and unknowingly, the was another seed in the cup. and it sprouted! so now i have two plants growing in the same cup, from what ive heard this is not good... but i think it will be fine when I transplant them. i also have one cfl...but plan to get more. soon this is just for now.

Also the wilting one is now starting to seperate its leaves ithe a stem between so it has a fighting chance. I will post pictures when I get the camera.

that was a good move dude taking it inside & geting it under a CFL (as you know it will need more), but it should be ok for now, also when you re-pot it, plant it a bit deeper in the soil it wont be so tall(stretched)

Re: Quinnphill8's First Grow

Thats the plan. its crazy when i look real close at where the new growth is coming in, i see a little bit of red. almost like hairs. do you think the will be hard to seperate they are about an inch or two apart in the cup.

Also when i repot the stretching plant is there any depth that is to deep?

Re: Quinnphill8's First Grow

Sorry for my BRICCKKKKK of text..

Well still havent got ahold of the camera...but I will update anyway. we added another cfl and seperated them. we also added a chip bag[mylar] thing in the back reflecting we are slowly gonna get more fixtures and lights soon have them in our big ass yard we just need cords and stuff. Plant number one was barried significantly deeper buht is still a big strain this also caused plant number one to strain alittle bit, but plant number two has a healty stem. plant number one is on its 3rd or fourth set of nodes coreect me if it isntthat isnt the terminology. plant number two is just growing its second set, and thats with out the circle shaped leaves.

Re: Quinnphill8's First Grow

Its been longgggg since the previous updateeee, Regardless of the fact that its winter i transplanted out side. Ive also been throwing seeds all around the area and they are sprouting constanly. They are growing slow..maybe its because its winter but they are still coming in nice/ The big plant is AfghanhazeXSkunk its the plant in the first post. It smells AMAZINGGGGGGGG, but there is obviosly no bud sites.... The small ones are from random strains ive been saving some mids some dank some might even be schwagg. there are eight plants , sorry for the dark picture its the only one i snapped of those three.

Heres the picturessss[IMG][/IMG] Aha what is wrong with that gimp plant.

Re: Quinnphill8's First Grow

Hey man its not only about the cold its also about the light schedule, the plant is going to realize that it is winter and go into flowering way to soon, which means little to no buds, and thats saying that they survive the cold, I live in AZ too and I did outdoor grows for years and I have never seen a plant live past the first part of January.

Sorry bro I think you need to do alot more homework.
