Alright so i'm designing my light proof exhaust and I had an idea to us the black gutter drainage tubes rather then buying a white pvc and then painting it. Has anyone ever tried this? The tubeing is pretty flexible and could get quite a few bends in it without taking up to much space. Any suggestions ideas, etc etc?

That particular one is labeled 'perforated', so I assume it has holes throughout that would let light leak in. But if there are no tiny holes and you get a couple of 90° bends in it, I'm sure it will work fine as a light trap. However, the ribbed sides will not be good for air ventilation, they will cause turbulence within the tube and impede airflow. All in all you probably are better off with the pvc or something else with smooth walls, painted flat black.
