My first grow *Updated

UPDATE**
As of September 2, 2009 Pamb did not make it through her harvest. A couple weeks before harvest she got sick and i tried numerous tips to keep her alive and well. Unfortunately the heat stress caused by the weather burnt off all her leaves which caused her to slowly fade.

It was a good experience for a first grow. I saw her grow from a clone to a full 3ft 4inch plant. Too bad i didnt take pictures... i was too upset to even take any hah. Anyways, the experience led me to plan ahead next time before jumping into a hobby i've not encountered in a long while.


My next grow will be planned our and organized. I will get the neccessary tools, hopefully, to succeed next time i decide to grow.

Thanks to everyone who has helped me and given me the best advice to take care and maintain a special plant

First plant ever and im nervous cuz its OG Kush...

Some people say its hard to grow? Or just difficult to maintain?

Anyways here's a pic of it i got it as a clone

just make sure it gets a lot of light, dont over water it, dont give it too many nutrients, and leave it alone

Quick Update on my grow.

Got it during cloning. June 24, 2009

it's been a week now and i've gotten to set up my grow box in my closet.

It depends on alot of things, Anywhere from nothing to about an ounce or two mabey more.

how much light you got on her? that one CFL doesn't look big enough to get it very far...you'll want at least 150watts (actual watts, not 'equivalent watts') in there, preferably more.

id lower that light a lil and get some ir movin in there some how using cfls are great cause they dont produce much heat but id still say u need a thermometer, and to keep the temp around 73 to 78 degreesa, and try to get some air in there

def lower the light to about 3 or 4 in from the top that will keep it shorter and bushier!!

sweet thanks for the advice man i'll lower it after this session and tomorrow morning i'll have it 3 to 4 inches lower.

Also i'm planning to get a few more things for it such as thermometer, a fan, and i need to cut a hole on the other side to open an air way.

But other than that thanks for the tips guys im hoping that this baby of mine will get going.

I'm also planning to get another light and having it stationed right next to it.

Oh and to answer the question about how much it'll yield, it all depends on how much time i put in to it. I'm aiming for a couple oz's maybe 4-5 atleast if not then i'll be happy no matter what

as far as yield goes u will be lucky to get a couple ounces but what u do get dont take as a loss take as expierence and as a learning curve for your next grow

if u could get say a 150 watt hos or maybe even a 250 watt that would increase ur yield at least by a couple of ounces man

more the intese light the more buds u will get and the thicker and more compact and tri chomed up they will be depending i think some strains dont need all that much light

who knows

this is all IMO also

so good luck dude, and yes the more cfls u can pack in there the better

did u let it veg at all on 18/6 or did u go straight to 12/12

u should let it veg for at least 2 weeks IMO

right now im on a 16/8 schedule. Should be fine that way right?

You should put it on 24/0 till shes nice and big =D then go 12/12 for flower. I noticed from your pics that your using a "warm white" CFL light, for veg its a good idea to use the "cool white" CFL lights, then change to the warm white for flowering. Good luck!

going on that picture, I would say could be a little streached? how close is the light?

you transplanted that yet? drainage holes big enough?

keep it up and good luck, germination is said to be the hardest stage.

good choice i definetly wouldnt jump from 16 to 24 maybe 16 to 18 but yeah its too far along now to go on 24 maybe it would be ok for the first few weeks as a seedling but plants need to sleep just like we do ya know they need to know the difference between night and day if not than they may start to show signs of stress and hermie out on u

i always look at post counts to see if they been around long enough in the game to know what they are talking about

but yea dont go 24 not at this time any way!!!
