Geesal clones and seedlings continuing grow any tips ?

heyy everyone back again with not as many problems as before but my 1 main ??? is about
CFL's and the different kinds and wattages ..... i purchased the -see more buds book- "buds for less" and several other books and have basically compiled

those books and the very little of my own and trying to scrap this thing together so first off im using around 850 watts of cfl goin between 19 - 100

watt equivalent 23 watt bulbs and 10 -150 watt equivalent 42 watt bulbs now i know you want roughley 100 watts per plant and no more than 70 something

watts per square foot or something ? but im wondering because i have read in some places differences in the cfl's spectrums .. like for veging and

flowering ... and the book i got did not specify " buds for less" and i know i have 90 or 100 percent all soft white cfl's ..... for all my clones and seedlings flowering and seems 2 be going well other than my ventilations

problems and original ph issues ... so im wondering if any 1 can shed some light onto this subject for me b4 i have to rummage through and find the info myself ... pluss ied like an experienced opinion and i do also have at my

disposal a 400 w hps that im trying to avoid using untill the middle to end of my flowering stage defiantly "sog" possibly some scrog .. so will the cfl's i

have do the trick given the spectrum and how close im keeping my lights and adding more if needed and making sure there as much light coverage on the

plant as possible each plant has the potential to get 100 watts or more with the number of light im going to use and how close im keeping them....

only other problem im unsure on is that all the clones after taking the damage from the nute burn/lock up due to my ph fuck ups now there very much yellow along the rim and some small signs of browning looking like

sulfur-magnese- and or magnesium decencies o0o0or potassium deficiencies so im thinking of the next watering/flush i do on them will be the ph'd water with some epsom salt diluted in my water witch has a few drops of apple

cider vinegar to bring my ph down from very alkaline some liquid organic plant food that got nitrogen in it n i only used a few drops of that as well ..

very small dose and lastly ma b some molasses ... all that in 1 gal each n then flush my 2 1/2 gal or so buckets with 1 gal n a lil over of 1 of those

cocktails would that do some good any 1 think ? plus any ideas of a simple easy/quick to fine source of adding some trace of potassium for that

deficiency? .... phewwwww that was a long post about no0o0o0othing but i would really operate some tips .. thanx alot guys pics here n more of some closeups for some help diagnosing ... srry shitty pics better 1 2mara

look here http://forum.grasscity.com/general-i...-new-post.html & i would invest in some liquid seaweed & use it vs all that other stuff, just as a suppliment, not for a full feeding care, b/c it contains all major, macro, trace nutes

Exclamation Re: Beginners Guide To Get You Started in Growing Cannabis

I just started my seeds 8 days ago. Day one i put my selected seeds into a glass of distilled water for 24 hours. Day two I moved them to a plate with a wet wash cloth and waited till I could see roots. On day six I planted 16 of my best seeds into peat pots with organic seedling mix and drenched em in water. I have them in about a 16inch (up and down) and 13 inch (side to side) cubby-hole in my wall just to start out until I set up a bigger area. I have a regular light bulb on them in a heating lamp. No air circulation, which I am going to fix tomorrow with a small fan. I have 3 already showing their first true leaves and 7 others just pushing through here on the 8th day already. Besides the lighting problem, which will be fixed soon, What advice or tips can you give me on growing for my very first time?

Also I have them on a 16 hour light, 8 hour dark lighting schedule because I read in the high time magazine I have, that's the best way to produce more females.

They get watered every time the light comes on, and are misted with a spray bottle ever so often when needed

Any advice at all? I have read so many things on growing.... it's driving me mad!

the lighting to get more females is kinda a myth, no proof to the matter, or EVERYBODY would be doing that, but thats your choice, i would goggle 'The banana religion" & put your lights on 24/0 or 20/4 if u want a cool down period. only water when the pucks get slightly dry for faster root growth, invest in some superthrive. other than the normal stuff youve read in this thread, theres not much else

Going to try the banana religion thing, sounds very interesting. Specially seeing as what I want is females. Definitely will do 20/4 so they can have that cool off period. Thanks soo much.

yes they do, co2 in the right amount can increase growth & yield by 30-40%, but co2 is best absorbed by them @ higher temps up to the 90's, so when your in there rappin, exhale out on or near your plants, turn off fans so the co2 doesnt get blown away, & also allows for temps to rise. you can top any growth shoot, it doesnt have to be the top, it can be side branches, or any growth shoot that has @ least 2-3 nodes on it.

Re: Beginners Guide To Get You Started in Growing Cannabis

i visited petsmart today and realized they have a lot of necessary things for indoor growing.
Hydrometer and thermometers. they have digital and analog ones. and theyre pretty cheap $10-15
they also have light timers, ph meters, cfl domes and i even saw some heaters that could be used to keep your plant warm.
Just putting it out there in case someone is lookin for somethinf, cause now i know where im buying mine,

Re: Beginners Guide To Get You Started in Growing Cannabis

wtffffff!!!!! wheres my motha fuckin petsmart when i need n want half that shit n all i got is a lousy pet co..... fuck where the pets go lol all they were

good for was a temporary ph testing / ph adjusting kit with ph up and down formulas(at least it was a 5 finger discount lol ...(recently developing a lil kleptomaniaha ha ) but fuck using that shit good ollll apple cider vinegar lowers it just fine

from the high 7 range right to the comfortable 6-6.5 for us soil growers just a drop or 2 or 3 does it pretty much lol potent shit ... srry if im givin props to the wrong person but i think it was jcj who told me bout the apple cider viniger ... good shit lol

Ebb and grow questions

Ebb and grow questions
I am an absolute beginner,so pardon my naivate'.

First, let me tell you where I'm at:

I have a 12 pot ebb and grow system. I've just transplanted last week, and I'm using Aquaflakes A and B for nutes, but I'm only using 1/4 the dosage at this time to acclamate the plants to their new home. The lighting system is a 600w/1000w MH/HPS. (Using MH until flowering stage).

The Ph level is right around 6.0 +/- .1/.2. I'm using distilled water and keeping the temp right around 75-78 degrees. Because I'm only using 12 pots, I have put 30 gallons in the resovoir instead of 55. I figured that if ever there was an issue with the floats, I can avoid a flood of any sizable quantity.

OK..that's where I stand, but I have some questions that I'm hoping a more seasoned grower might be able to help me with:

a) Being a few days after transplant, when should I begin my 18 on 6 off light cycle? How long should that cycle last?

b) I currently have the fill cycle on for 30 minutes soak 4 times daily (6am, 12noon, 6pm and 12 midnight). Is this the appropriate amount of time the newbies should soak, or should this time be adjusted plus or minus? Also, should the amount of soak time be adjusted during each stage, and if so, to what and when? (Someone mentioned that I should increase my watering to 30 min fill cycle and 45 min drain cycle...is this correct?)

c) Are there any tips that you all might have that you would care to share with this eager beginner to help grow my babies healthy and happy. Any input would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks,

LOJ
