Grow in water?!?!?!?

Alright guysas wondering if i can grow weed in water

like a vase 1/5 full of rocks
the seeds at the bottom of the rocks
and the vase full of water

if its possible but what i said is not the right way then plz tell me the right way.

Ive seen it stay alive, but it wont be efficient because of light. Not worth it.

Well right now i see 1 root coming out of the seed ill try to get pictures in a couple of mins

No, the light doesnt penetrate the water properly making the plant stretch, if you do some searching youll see threads here where people through seeds in their fish's tank and see it grow.
