what todo with male plants?

Here in Ecuador I don´t know anyone who knows what to do with a male plant, I´ve listen that you can cook it, but I´m not exactly sure what to do with a male plant, here we just kill them. If you know some really good spell, throw it

I know that seeds can last years before they are planted and if the environment you keep them in is dry...but, I was just curious as to how long pollen stays fertile or whatever?
In case I end up having a batch of mostly boys I was thinking on the next grow (really good bagseed) that I could cross them to get a more sativa strain.
BTW...I posted some pics over at the Pot Pics Forum if anyone wants to check them out and lemme know what ya think. It's an Indica (or mostly Indica) strain I got from a friend.
