First plant needing some tips and help plz!!

I was just recently giving a plant about 2 ft tall from a friend who had to get rid of it. I went down to a creek by my house and dug about 1 ft deep hole and transported the plant into the hole with fresh new soil. I dont know what sex or what stage it's in so I dont know what to do with it. I need some tips on what kind of fertilizer or food or how often I should go check on the plant. A few of the leaves on the bottom are starting to loose their color I dont know if I should cut them or what to do with them. Please help a brotha out. I'll be posting pics in a few days so everyone will know what Im working with here. Thanks people

Lots of threads on ferts etc, do a search and you will learn all you need.

Your buddy didnt bother to give you ANY info on what it was? Male/Female/Strain?

Personally.... I'd rip it up and walk away.

If this is your first grow, as it appears it most likely is, you are much better off starting with something smaller that you can manage and learn from.
