First time LSTing ..

How does she (i hope) look? Age is 22 days .. 23 maybe. Grey area of germination/sprouting.

I'm going to flower after 6 weeks of veg. If it's female I'll just finish her and smoke what I harvest because other seeds are on the way .. this is just a first time test grow. Bagseed, btw. :]

edit: I clipped the bottom set of leaves. They were deformed from sprouting and never got much larger than a penny.

You might have wanted to veg a little longer before tying her down... she looks a little too small for the stress involved with LST.

I would wait until she is a little bigger next time

Well techinicaly I started LST as the 4th node started showing. If you count it the 5th node is growing already and waiting longer would probably make me break the stem. It was getting stiff up to the 2nd set already. Needed to give her form before too long.

What's the ideal time to tie them down? I had always read at the 3rd or 4th nodes.

no you did not do it to early at all. U actually did it at the perfect time. you want to start LST when the plant is still relatively small so it has time to grow into the shape you want. good job

Well to each his/her own I guess. When I LST I expect to have a vegging period of 8 weeks and start the training around week 4 when the plant has a large, strong stalk. Before I tie it down I usually bend the stem back here and there to strengthen. Don't forget that your LSTed plant is going to have to bear the weight of 2-3X more flowers than normal. But hey, like I said, we all have our own techniques... I still wish you a happy and successful grow.Peace
