Cost of growing your own, and other questions

Say I was wanting my own small indoor setup, what is estimated cost of supplies needed, and how does it compare to buying from a dealer? Like cost comparisons?

Also, what If I wanted to grow outside, I live in Oklahoma, and I would need to know the best time of the year to do this. What does it take to grow outside? Water, sun, and plant food? Anything else?

It costs as much as you want it to say $400 for a good two plant set up. 'thats one 250watt dual spectrum cfl bubble bucket nutes and meters, most people do it because they enjoy it aswell as not having to deal with shady characters. Your yeild will completly depend on your set up but after a couple harvests it should pay for its self if you do ok.

like mels said, its all about your setup get that right and it will pay of itself.
$400 sound about right, the main money should be spent on lights and ventilation.
