droopy leaves

why do my leaves hang down and get droopy.. is this bad.. why does it happen.. wat do i do to fix it

That tends to happen when the plant needs water or it is too hot. without a picture or more information thats the best I can tell you

also happens when you overwater. usually when your temperatures are too hot your leaves curl up on the edges, not get droopy. its either over or underwatering

these are pictures of it.. its about 3 weeks old. pretty much my first grow. its usually outside and gets sunlight from 9am-7pm. it has been humid outside lately and has been extremely hot during the day and raining at night. i live in new york. i water it when it only when the soil seems dry and i feed it african violet plant food once a week

i mist spray it with water when the sun is beating on it the hardest. could that be the cause?

and do you think it could be a male because of how fat n thick the leaves are

It's possible that that could be causing it. Spraying plants while in the sun is not a good idea. The drops of water will act like magnifying glasses and burn your plant. stop doing that and just water it through the dirt.

EDIT: You won't be able to tell if its male or female till flowering. Sativa leaves are long and thin. Indica leaves are shorter and broader so this really has nothing to do with sex

its got some heat stress (looks like) and also looks like it's been overwatered. also stop misting it
