Security
I am considering doing a small plot of 2-5 plants and was wondering how strong the smell would be and how for off from civilization should they be so that I will not have to worry. The place I am thinking of planting is around a path that probably gets walked 1-5 times a week.

Smell is pretty considerable usually.
I will type something I type to everyone who asks. If you dont feel safe pinning a $100.00 bill to a tree next to your grow op, then you havnt found the proper location. Remote is key!
