CFL light, help

Read a lot of posts & evbody says best CFL is 2700k for Fl and 6400k for veg. Been shopping around and Lowes has Feit Electric Daylight CFL bulbs for $1ea. This brand is only 5800k tho, so are they in the ballpark? Or too low k value?

Local Home Depot has sale on n:Vision brand CFL - $4.88 for 2x 23w or 4x 13w at 2700k. (soft white...)

and how much difference does full spectrum make? They are $6-7ea for 25w 6000k locally, so would be happier using cheap bulbs if they work the same...


BTW, EZ reflectors for CFL x2 in clamp lamps - buy the clampers with 6-8 inch round reflectors (standard ennywhere) Put the Y adapts in sockets to determine position, then cut reflector in half in line with sockets - BUT dont cut all the way to the base of the reflector, leave 1" or so at socket. Bend the 2 halves outwards to match bulbs in Y's. Voila, 2 half moon type reflectors...

5800k will work fine, i vegged with 2700k and they didn't end up too bad.
