Newbie, outdoor grower

Well I am finally getting to the point of tired of buying weed, so I want to grow myself a personal plant. However I live with my parents, and don't feel like getting kicked out of the house quite yet. So we have some woods in the backyard that no one goes in, so I thought why not grow some back there!

To start I plan on just getting some bag seeds, unless i can figure out how to get something better.

Anyways, I don't even know where to begin, I read the germinating guide, so Id assume I should do that first. Then plant the seed(s) in a cup and leave the cup outside in the woods?

Im completly lost on what to do is someone could just throw me a guide thatd be great.

Well glad you already know how to germinate, shows initiative.
Second thing to do is keep reading so that they dont catch up and surpass your knowledge.
Start with all the stickies in the absolute beginners and outdoor section.
You can either plant them in the ground, or in cups, however IMO its best to bring your own soil, this can help prevent problems in the future.
