New grower needs some help, What to do here??????

I've just finished germing some seeds and I've put them in bio bizz soil and covered with plastic wrap to keep the wetness in and left in a dark placer. Should I juat leave it now? it's been 3 days with still no sprouts.

In a MJ growers guide book I got it says you can put the pot covered in plastic under the grow light to encourage the seeds to sprout. should I do this?

How does everyone else start their plants?

I started out germinating them in a glass of water in total darkness. My first one took about five days to show signs of a tap root. Then I placed the seed tap root facing down into the soil, turned my light on, and gave it a watering. It took it a few more days to break the surface. I really wouldn't keep plastic on, but it's up to you really. Just be patient with your little ones.

So bottom line here before they sprout plastic on or off?

and Lights on or off?

Personally I don't like plastic because I'm afraid if they sprout when I'm away and the plastic is on, they'll run into trouble. But some growers swear by it. And I keep lights on so as soon as my babies sprout, they're getting light.

Yea, plastic isnt a must.
How deep did you plant them?
If you think they are taking too long, you can slap a light on them to encourage a sprout, just make sure the top soil stays moist by lightly misting with a spray bottle.

I think I planted no more than an inch deep maybe less maybe half an inch.

I think I'm going to take the plastic off half and put the light on now and see what happens. Never been this long

I usually germ in a glass of water or paper towel until i have a 1/2" taproot. Then i plant in a party cup so the seed itself is about 3/8" under the top layer of soil. I dont use plastic at all because im lazy and it doesnt matter anyway. i put them under light immediately and keep the surface of the soil wet with a spray bottle. sprouting usually happens within a couple days.
