Classifying seeds, Vigoro fertilizer, and MG?
I have read multiple places that there is a way to determine sativa from indica just by examining their seeds. I've also read that this is not true. However, after hearing a decent explanation from a friend (who could totally be making this up) I decided to ask.
Also, has anyone ever heard of Vigoro fertilizer? It comes as a liquid solution and you add half a capfull to 2 gallons of water for a feeding. Any reviews at all? It is a 10:10:10 ratio so the ratio is right, and I chose 10:10:10 over 20:20:20 because I hear most people recommending that you cut down the strength to 1/4 or as low as possible because of over-nutrifying.
I'd like to get opinions on MG Organic. I've heard people argue over it, but there seems to be a lot of disagreement and variation in the types of organic people are using. Some people say it's shit, but there is plenty of evidence to the contrary. Obviously it isn't perfect either.
The one I'm using is a potting mix. Its NPK is .1:.05:.05. So this is a very low nutrient, organic, reasonably fine-grained, but definitely absorbent soil. There are some big chunks (size of a finger nail) here and there but it is mostly pretty soft and absorbent. I haven't added perlite, but I will as soon as I find some. Any suggestions for very common soils that I should use instead if the MG starts causing problems? I would need to be able to find it at a home depot or walmart.
I just placed three seeds that were showing a root break through into soil. They are outdoor buds, I spoke with the grower/seller about this and he has been growing this strain outdoors with success but he said he got his seeds from bags and just grows the ones that sprout. So, as far as I can tell it is an indica that does well outdoors.
