OK, so I'll take a minute to go into the details and then take a minute to make my question more precise.
- 2.2 gallon square pots
-promix straight from bale no additions
-watered every 3-5 days 10-15% run-off of full strength nutes; no burning or any problems.
-mainly sativa phenotype showing on 10 belladonnas and one white widow that is a bit stretched not doing bad, internodes every 1" and 1 1/4" respectively.
-Have been vegging for about 1.5 months and are nice and full
-Just about to go into a 400w HPS flowering cycle from CFL vegging
EDIT: plants are slightly better described as open cup or fruit bowl shape with some tops shooting out of middle area too
-All plants are LST'd heavily and are basically a main stem in center of pot at about 1/2" diameter and 5/8" on the better ones, this main stem then has about 5-7 shoots(runners from the middle stem) that each carry 2-3 sites that are developing tops with the ends of these getting a bit taller then the 5" max height we want to start then at from dirt level
What I mean by this is the new growth sites, the tops, are getting taller then we can afford to flower in our space and I would like to know if these plants can survive loosing 3-4 tops each for cuttings sake...I heard this can stress a plant too much. Only roughly 2.5-3" a piece would be take from the and it would all be in vertical growth residing over the 4 inch cube I have drawn for you. After these cuttings when would it be a safe bet to thrown them under a 400 HPS? (assuming taking tops is OK).
Any advice would be great, I have ten belladonna in total, one WW and one BC Bud of somesort. All are currently at the same stage of development save minor differences.
The reason we must flower at such a short height is we only can have them at roughly 24" when they are through flower due to space restrictions.
Each flowering chamber is going to hold 4 and a cool tubed 400W and they both measure 3'x3'x3.2' LxWxH. The extra four are being kept as mums under cfl. I might have killed two by not noticing slight root bound mums and cutting them back too far for cutting, which btw are all very healthy so no big deal loosing two mums that eat space that is starting to be necessary room for 4 bc big bug from seed. All other plants mentioned except these are clones so guaranteed female.
Thanks a lot everyone please post if you know because this will be carried out at my next possible convenience as I must get these into flowering. Any other info i have ;left out that you need please just ask as I must resolve soon

Cheers guys thanks for the read,
Charles
