SIIIIICK idea need help tho

Okay, i just got this idea for growing and its pretty creative imo.

I remember my friend talking about this kid he used to chief with he said "i wanna grow weed in a hole in the ground and just cover it with plywood.

Now I got to thinking that is a DAMN good idea. You are in complete control of the lighting, you can either take the plywood on or off to regulate the light cycle or just use light through the wood. yet it still remains an outdoor plant. But, how bad would the soil be 6-7 feet below the ground? Would I be better off just tossing them in pots? How much space in between each plant is recommended, like 2.5-3 feet is good, yeah? And it'd be good to use something for reflection off the walls, right?

i know a lot of questions but someone with exprience should be able to quickly answer them. thanks for your help.

also, dont be scared to just outright say thats stupid and is too much work.

Just a couple of problems I can see is that being down in a hole, it's only going to get good light for a few hours a day while the sun is directly overhead. If it rained a bunch I'd guess that it could also get flooded. I can see where the stealth aspect would be appealing but I don't think it's a real efficient way to grow.

1. have you ever tried digging a 7 foot deep hole?

2. the soil that far down will definitely not be suitable for growth. You would have to amend the soil or use pots.

3. As stated above, rain = flood.

4. It's a recipe for mold. You would have to provide active ventilation.

5. how do you monitor the plant? is there going to be room for you to be in the hole too?

6. especially when the plant is small, as stated above it will get very little direct sunlight (only at noon).

You could overcome all of these problems, but iMHO it wouldn't even be close to worth it.

a 7 foot hole doesnt take that long to dig, you guys are crazy. One idea I have thought of, is running an electrical line to my hole and running an out let through it. Then I would put a trash can in the whole put the outlet through it and such. I would leave the lid on and have an air purifier in there to cool the air and such. water once a day and nobody would know.
