My 1st setup - suggestions welcome!

Hey GC,

Well from my earlier post New Bub with pics and EXTRAS!!! OHHH DAMN!! I showed off my crappy little stealth grow box. Now I got some ideas from last nite and added:

1 new light (2 lights made to grow plants)
10 new vent holes (got a little too warm)
wiring was redone
Thermometer added

So check it out, please give me some ideas if you want (be on the money friendly side lol), I am planning on adding more vents and a foil type shine to the inside.

Thanks for looking also quick question if I just had one plant would I be able to fully grow in here, if not can you point me towards a growbox design that is good and also cheap.

(PS. plants are bent over like that because when I was working on this they were just sitting next to another light, so they should straiten out!)

looks pretty cool for a qucik build up. search the grow setup section and im sure you will find an idea you like that will suit your needs.

Those holes dont look too big for vintilation, might be just me though, what are you gonna do about smell ?

Your right, my box is running at ~95 F!!!!! I think that is way to hot lol I need a better ventilation system in this damn thing, which I am gona install lada 2nite... as for the smell I am not too worried atm but I have a bunch of activated carbon filters that I can use so I think I am all set.

Anyone else? and just to be sure 95F is too hot rite? What should the average temp be?

What type of bulbs are you using?
You are very limited in space, your lights seem close enough yet your plants are stretching? Even with LST you wont have a lot of space for growth of any kind. You wont be able to fully grow a plant in such a small area assuming the box ends just above the photos.
As you already know, temps need to be lower.
Youll need a way of adjusting your lights almost daily and reflective sides inside the box; emergency blankets (do not use foil, they keep in the heat).

Those cups will only last you a week, 2 weeks tops.

Hmm dont see where you said this was a temporary setup, but even temporary, you want to fix it asap.
All i read was about you wanting to keep it most of the way through and thinking you were "all set"

i wouldnt even be growing anything in that box, way to small even if you're gonna be tossing them into a newer, bigger box. It's serves almost no purpose except germination which can be done in your "official" growroom with probably more faster results.

You're pretty much not gonna be able to control that temp cause of how small it is.

get some 2x4s and some plywood, make a frame, cuts holes. VIOLA.

Make it like at least like 3 feet tall, and you can just LST the plans i imagine.

I've never grown before, just using my intellectual mind and the knowledge ive gathered from these forums.

ps. i just rebuilt a new setup wit some of these parts umm it is sick and is great for just one or two plants, new pics coming when I can find tha time
