Started today!

Hi all,
Good forum here, seems to have it all coverd!

Started today on growing my first plant. I followed the guide on here about the germination process (tupperware + wet tissue etc) but I think I might have made a slight error.

I got 10 seeds and just put them all in the one wet tissue and shut the lid.

My questions are:

1) Is it likely all 10 will start to root?
2) Should one seed be planted in one pot or ground area? Or does it matter if say I put 2 seeds in a pot?
3) If it grows outside in the UK will it try and stretch, how can I keep it confined to a small space, i.e. wide and low?

I'm kinda worried cause if all 10 root then I don't know what i'll do with them all!!! I have a place or two I can grow outside but I dont want them all in the same place, kinda limited with space!

1. Probably not all 10, but maybe. It's highly variable. On my first try I germed nine out of nine. Others have had much worse luck.

2. One plant per pot. Period.

3. To keep it wide and low, the perfect solution is LST.

Im at the same stage as you, in the process of germination. Germination is all about how lucky you get, especially if its bagseed and of course, its all about nature. If you do everything as your supposed to, then more than 50% of the seeds will germinate.
I suggest you dont put 2 seeds in a pot, you can at first but that space will be filled quickly by the rootts and the plants wont be too happy. If you wanna put 2 plants in one pot, do it for the first week, then move it. Also remember, moving causes alot of stress which can make your plant male, which isnt profitable due to less buds.

Mj plants need alot of light, if it doesnt get the needed amount, it will stretch because it will be looking for light. So alot of light will help.

Keep it inside, flower early for small plants.

Less bud, but two small plants can go in a pot.

Thanks for the replys guys, hopefully when I learn abit more i'll help out with n00b q's.

I'm in the UK, more rain and cloud than sunshine here. Is there anything I can do to prevent the stretch? I think I might be able to get some light in the early stages (very early) but wont be able to see it through so they will have to be put outside.

Anyone got any good hiding tips?

Can it easily be smelt outside by people passing?

Does flowering mean when it is growing the bud?

I have feminised seeds germinating at the moment, i had a look this morning and one or two seem to be starting to show the sprout They are in a little plastic container at the moment in wet tissue with the lid on it in the airing cupboard. Shold I put a warm light on the box to speed the germiniation process or just leave it? The box also has no air to it, I open it twice daily but thats it. Am I doing everything ok at the moment? Iis it ok for the seeds to roll/move about in the box? Reason I ask is because I moved the box and they all rolled about so got worried! I know you can't touch the sprout end but what happens if u just touch the seeds?

Sorry for the Q's but I just want to get it right as i'm sure you can remember your first time

Edit: I've germinated the seeds and put them into the pots with bags covering. Should this be keep somewhere warm or is a a dark cool place ok?
