please help

hey i found a seed in my weed so i put it in between a lot of moist paper towels because i heard that's what you're supposed to do to get them to sprout, and it obviously did sprout, and now it has like this green and white thing coming out of the seed... so anyways i want to finish this grow because there's a possibility it could be a female plant...

so anyways i have no idea what to do... like i want to grow it outdoors but i want to know what i need to pick up to grow it... like should i get a pot and some special soil or something and just plant it or what? sorry ive been looking at guides all day and haven't found what i need to buy yet... so if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be cool.

later

Well yea, research woulda been good, but i understand since you werent sure what would happen.
As soon as you germinate and start to see a tiny what they call tap root coming out, before it completely emerges from the seed, it should be planted in NON nuted potting soil root facing down, just enough to cover it up. Dont know if its too late, sounds like your already growing your cotelydon leaves. Plant it ASAP.

You can start in a party cup as long as you poke holes in the bottom for drainage and water the soil before planting. You dont want to invest too much since your only growing one, and it could turn out to be male which wouldnt be smokeable.

Youll want to pick up a high wattage, high lumen 6000-6500K Compact flurescent bulb, the bulb socket, wiring and reflector.

Let tap water sit out for 24-48 hours before use, or purchase a gallon of distilled water cause its cheap.
A small fan blowing directly on it will help provide fresh air, and promote strong root/stem growth which is a must.

Good luck, read up if you want to be successful. Read my sticky for some great starter links.

hey thanks. it will probably be a failure, but hey... its worth a try right? free weed haha. i'm going to be growing outdoors though, and i have this little wooden box outside thats like 2 feet high and pretty long and its right under my deck, but in the sunlight. that's where i want to grow it...

so i basically just need like names of the soil types i should get and how i should mix it up. thanks again.

Yea, you might as well try, at the very least you can chalk it up to experience if you fail.

I am die hard fox farm ocean forest or fox farm happy frog after doing tests on MANY different brands.

IMO!!! stay away from hyponex, miracle grow, and again anything with nutes already in it or says "water retainer"

alright so let me get this straight... get some fox farm soil and put it in a little plastic container with holes in the bottom... bury the seed about a half inch down and stick it outside to grow... what should i do maintenance wise? like watering and such?

Yup, you got it right. Water the soil first, then plant the seed tap root facing down, so that its just below the top of the soil.

is the white horn thing the seeds root?

ok i also had a question.. my brother has grown it before and told me that he sprouted it by putting moist cotton balls in a glass bowl and burying the seed in them... so i did it and put it under my snakes lamp to give it light. what do you think? is this okay until i can get the soil?

Inadequate lighting, and waiting to put it into soil will lower your chances of success.

thanks. umm so after i put it in the cup with cotton and under the light it took off. now the seed is like completely cracked open and there is a curling white thing coming out of it, which i guess is the tap root, and the root is green as it gets closer to the seed. on the other side of the seed theres like this brown thing coming out. hopefully i can get some soil soon. is it alright to use soil from my garden or is that bad? like if i cant find time to get soil wouldnt that be better than nothing?

what would some good things to use be until i can get the appropriate medium? thanks again.

Any soil is better than none. I would start in a small party cup with outdoor soil until you can transplant. Keep an eye out for bugs.
