Most of the good stuff in the soil will most likely have been used up.

it is quite alright and I do it all the time. I do use 1/3 old soil to 2/3 new soil as a rule of thumb.

I think all the nuits would of been used up already. Can't you just go out and get some new soil?

Listen to this man here. Many growers have learned over the years the value of saving what you can, where you can. Pennies soon mount up.

imho the pennies you save using old soil, will be spent on replacing the nutrients that aren't there anymore..

i'm sure it's fine man.. just don't know how much cash your actually saving is all. Also if your gonna do that just inspect the soil really well for critters and stuff.

And make sure to flush it thoroughly first, since salt buildup that might not bother a mature plant could overwhelm a new sprout,

You only have .02 because you are always buying new soil. August is right. You will spend the same amount of $ replenishing. Plus you would need to deroot the old soil.

I reuse 100% of my old soil. Just not for my mj. I built an above ground garden in the back yard. (its below ground level for now) I just mix a couple bags ($1 a pc.) of top soil with my old dirt, and spread it in my garden. I don't waste any soil and it grows some kick ass veggies.
