very tough to tell without any pics man.
so the yellowing is starting from the bottom up? Do the leaves turn fully yellow before they wilt and die? what brand or mix of soil are you using? how big are the pots and how long have they been in there? What nutes were you giving it? sorry for all the questions, just trying to get it straight lol |

My appologies for no pics, parents borrowed digital camera.
Yep yellowing is starting from the bottom up Yes leaves fully lellow and brown before they die, although they are wilting while being a bit green aswell. Brand of soil - BioBizz Light Mix [LINK] The pots vary unfortunately 3 are 150x150mm square pots (all of these are affected) 3 are 200x200mm square pots (1 of these are affected, as the 2 newer plants arent affected at present - well startings but nothings turned proper yellow lol) Nutes - Bio Grow Liquid Plant Food [LINK] at 3 ml per litre Ammonium Nitrate (NH4) - 4% Nitrate (NO3) - 4 % Phosphorus (P205) - 2% Potassium (K2O) - 6% Alg-A-Mic Vitality Booster [LINK] at 3.5ml per litre Nitrogen (N) - 0.1% Phosphorus (P2O5) - 0.1% Potassium (K2O) - 0.1% Calcium (Ca) - 0.2% Magnesium (Mg) - 0.1% Bio Heaven Plant Energy Booster [LINK] at 3.5 ml per litre Nitrogen - .91 Phosphor - .18 Potassium - .24 Calium - .28 Magnesium - .20 Iron - .017 Manganese .001 Zinc - .002 Borum - .018 Copper - .0001 Molydenum - .0001 Anything else you need/can think of that may help ? EDIT: Added nutes in bold as my formatting didnt go through to the actual post ![]() EDIT 2: Added links for the nutes aswell. Last edited by The Grim Reefer : 04-24-2008 at 04:21 PM. |

sounds like a Nitrogen def.
how long since you transplanted them? Do you know the PH of your soil? if your PH is inline i would add some of that "bio grow" formula you have at 50% of what they say to use. Keep an eye on the new growth.. as long as it seems to be growing at a steady pace and looks healthy they you should be all set. The yellowed leaves will eventually die ooff so don't worry about them. If it's been a while since you transplanted, then a new (larger) container of fresh soil will do wonders. best of luck man.. i'll keep an eye here incase you have more questions. |

No havent checked the pH of my soil, will do that. Its been about a 4 weeks since i transplanted em id say, and the 2 newer about 2 weeks.
EDIT: oops he he, so its nothing particularly bad to be worrying about, none of the leaves have circular or patterned yellowness so wasnt thinking it was pest, and cant see and fungal growth. and since it hadnt spread to upper leaves but was happening with all that it was nutes, the bottle says 2-4ml per litre so ive been using 3, would you think to drop that down to say 2 or even 1 ? Got some pics :)
Ok found a digital camera to use, have lost my pH indicating solution so no soil pH as of yet, hopefully this'll help the diagnosis
![]() The first 2 show leaves that have shriveled and died (there are i think 4 of these leaves altogether) the second two are showing the yellow leaf, this partivular leaf is the worst affected at this stage, theres maybe 2-3 of these per plant (of the 4 others) at different stages. The second last pic is of 1 of the newer plants whose leaf is beginning to yellow. The last pic is of the 6 plants together a view from the top to show how the yellowing hasnt spread, and also for comments on the plants themselves ![]() EDIT: In the group shot the 2 newer plants are the two centre plants. ![]() Last edited by The Grim Reefer : 04-25-2008 at 12:35 AM. |

another question as im here, ive two more plants growing under a 45 watt Fluorescent tube, was going to keep these just under that untill these 6 had gone through harvest and maybe doing something with them then, another mh lamp is out of the question, so should i just scrap em or leave em grow away, if pics of them are needed i can get them
, just a side question my main question is still the topic above ![]() |
