What do you think of this set-up?

Hello all! I have been looking around for a lighting set-up and I came across this. What do you think?

I plan to supplement this with 4-6 42w (2700 lumens each) CFL's and mylar all around

I want to use on 6-8 plants thinning down to 3-4

Would this be good?

Thanks Octo for the info. I followed the link and although the kit showed was less, once I added on to it to make it the same as the one I linked to on eBay it was $199.00 before shipping which was about the same as the 1st. Do you feel that the kit from insidesun is better quality?

Well your auction ended there but a digital 400 is great and will do 4-6 good sized females. Mylar is a good choice too.

You know I have seen this exact EBAY sale....They seem to have a High feedback...But something seems odd...I mean you can get great deals on EBAY..No Doubt....but some of these deals are so much cheaper than even the supposed BARGAIN Sites that sell HPS only....Makes me Wonder...If you get it I am curious to get an Opinion.........


BTW......I know this sounds ridiculous... Regarding Mylar......It reflects 90% of the light......Apparently Gloss white paint reflects 95%....

Thanks for the info all. So would the HPS be ok for 4-6 plants on its own or in conjunction with the CFL's and mylar or white paint?

Also in response to what The Coma stated. I agree that the price on the eBay stuff looks really good but did you notice the shipping? $55.00. Alot of folks on eBay charge exceedingly high shipping to make the auction seem like its a good deal, but in reality once the shipping is added it's about the same as the discount sites. I think they also do that because they are guaranteed better money for the sale. I know it doesnt cost $55.00 to send a package to the Mid-Atlantic region from Canada!

4 plants under a 400 would be perfect running in a 3x3 area. Using mylar or flat white paint is up to you whichever is easier for you to do. I use mylar since i have had a huge roll of it for awhile but I will go to flat white paint once I run out cause mylar is expensive.
