Should i grow?

Not leggaly speaking since i live in ohio. Less than a QP is a $100 fine and no record. Less than 2 lbs is a misdermeanor. The ammount really wouldnt matter, id only keep less than a qp in the house and either find a different place to stash the weed/flush it/give it to friends/smoke it so fat i cant keep more than a qp!

I currently spend about $40 a week on weed, i typically buy a quarter of mids from a friend who buys his from a friend of his. That quarter would last me (if solo the whole time) about a week and a half, i sometimes smoke up others who come over or when i go to peoples houses, so its about a quarter a week.

My goal is to spend less than $300 on the setup, keep buying while i grow my first harvest, then once all is said and done have enough dank weed to last me the time it takes to grow a second harvest. At that point ill just keep growing and keep smoking and pay for none of it. Hopefully after one grow it will have saved me enough on buying weed after 6 weeks that the grow paid for itself and the rest is just profit, figurativly speaking.

My grow space is a small walk in closet that is 6 feet high by 6 feet wide by 4 feet deep. Just eyeballing it here. The biggest problems i think i face is a hike in the electric bill, the cops using heat detectors to sense the grow, the smell, and the biggest one; airflow. The closet has no place to vent air into other than my room, and my room has one broken window that i cant open.

My room gets fresh air (occasinaly) when i leave the door open and let the hallway vent it out.

How can i handle the smell?

Is the space big enough?

What can i do to prevent or reduce the chance of detection by the cops and helicopters?

How much electricy do all these lights run? Wont the buill skyrocket?

If the bill skyrockets or the smell gets worse than the smell of a standard smoker my dad could start asking questions or just flat out investigate my room when im not home.

Also, is there a faster way to grow some dank other than 6 months of time? Is there a seed to smoke in under a month or something? Thanks.

Just grow like 2-4 plants, smell will be pretty tame, bring a fan in and you're set.

Also bud only takes 3-4 months from start to finish usually, use CFL lights, they're the cheapest route.

No helicopter is going to detect a small grow operation in your closet and the most your electric bill will jump is about the cost of using an air conditioner, be more considerate about lights around the house turn them off etc etc so it mimics the old electric bill.

Yeah you don't need to worry about the cops unless you are in an apartment building where someone could call on you because of smell. I think that growing while in your parents house is a bad idea because there is such a high chance that they will find out and then you are out your investment and they are upset with you for disrespecting them. Besides that, I agree with the last poster. You could do 4 plants at the very most if you plan on LST or topping them to keep them small yet producing very efficiently. Everything you need is at walmart. Go buy 3-4 packs (2 in each) of their 26W CFL, 6500K for $6ea. This will give you 6-8 bulbs for 131-208W of light, 9,600-12,800 Lumens. Might also want to pick up their 2 foot Lights of America Fluro for $8 and go to Lowes/HD and pick up two 20W Daylight 6500K bulbs as well (for max. light coverage). At Walmart I'd also buy a temperature/Humidity digital reader for $5, their $8 8-9" fan, $13 Ionizer (not needed until flowering), seed starter soil for $3, and their growing timer for $4. They also have your Miracle Grow Indoor Plant food for $5 28-X-X (can't remember the last two). And you'll need cheap buckets to grow in. If you buy everything I've just mentioned you are looking at around $100. Eventually you'll need to buy the $8 42W 2700K bulbs that they sell there and swap them out with your 6500K bulbs, leaving maybe 1-2 of your 6500K for a full range of light. Expect that to run ya $30-40 dollars.

Since you'd have extra space you could start cloning before your flower if you are able to section your room off and keep the light off your flowering plants. In this case it would save you a month of grow time and you could harvest every 1.5-2 months depending on how quickly your strain finishes. You could get probably 2-4 ounces depending on how large you let the plants get. I wouldn't expect too much more then that to keep things stealth. So if you can make an ounce of really good stuff last you month, then it would be worth it. Your electric bill would only really go up by $20 at most with this setup, probably closer to $15.

I already smoke nightly in my room, so it smells like weed in here anyways. as long as the smell dont get too bad he wont know, and if cops cant find out the only peron who SHOULD know is me.

i could def make an ounce of some dank last a month, sounds like a plan, i read miracle grow is like, terrible for your weed though.

How could his house be in jeporady? I am over 18, so he has no resonsibility to me. He has plausible denability since we work and sleep on opposite schedules. I live in Ohio and the law says that less than 100 grams of cultivation is the same as possesion. Posesion is $100 and no record, civil-infraction.

200 grams is 6 months, but i could plead out and probably get probation. But i dont plan to ever have mkore than 100 at a time.

Ur right he has no responsibillity for you but he is responsible for anything on his property....maybe he could plead out and get probation, no problem for you right.
speaking as a father of 4, give him some respect and remember a fathers responsibilty only ends at 18 legally....I garantee he still feels responsible for you...

Absolutly correct. If you're a minor and you live with your folks...if you get caught growing there, they will be the ones responsible. You just bring a shit storm of laweyer fees, court costs, and family arguing. Maybe your folks will be free of charges, but they will have to fight for it. The state loves to bash parents for bad parenting. If you are caught growing grass in your folks house, how do you think that makes them look? They would get arrested for the plants and most likely you would be put in states custody. Which is the last place you wanna be as a teenager if you value freedom. If your over 18 you should have respect for your pop and tell him.
I'm a dad too, and I would expect honesty out of my kids. Ask permission or don't do it till you have yur own place.

Here is a question, what if i get caught with possession of a half oz in my house. Who knows how i got caught, but i did. No growing, just that half oz. Do they pin it on my dad because its his house or on me since its mine?

if your in ohio just grow outside its pretty easy unless you live in the middle of a city and cant drive to rural areas

The police consider rooms like the kitchen, living room, bathroom, etc to be community rooms. The consider your bedroom your personal space. Either way, chances are they ask your pop and he says it yours then they are gonna get you. The thing is, if you get caught cultivating where you live and you don't own the house they are going to inform the owner, whoever it is, that you were doing it. There is no chance you would be able to get caught growing, while living in your fathers house, and have him not find out about it.

On my second grow I though I could grow under my mothers nose in my closet, but she found out about it.

It was a good thing she didn't care too much. I told her the other day I killed off a male and she seemed bothered by it. I had to explain how sexing works to her.

O, I have some plants flowering right now in the same closet, and every time my brother walks by my room, he closes my door cause he doesn't want the hallway to smell, "like skunks."

im gunna start growing in my closet, my parents think my box is a giant safe , hahai love it, anyways i got a pad lock on it and they probably won't ever question it, if they do ill just be in a pile of shit, anyways, the box is H:36 inch, W:20 inch, L:33 inch, the carbon filter is inside the box, everything is inside the box so yeah, thats my little stealth box
