Help a possible grower out

Im thinking of possibly growing a plant, been smoking for a month now and I think one plant would support my habit, I want to know what I should do and I kinda confused about the whole male/female thing as well as indica and sativa

plants are 50% male, 50% female, female plants make buds which produce trichomes that contain THC which catches male pollen and forms seeds, males produce no bud, only pollen sacks so you need to get rid of the males before they pollenate your female plants and make them full of seeds. Here's a link that will help you determine the sex of a plant, http://www.weedfarmer.com/g2.2/main.php/male-female/ mind you you cannot determine the sex until the flowering stage of a plant which is around 2 months (correct me if I'm wrong). There are other ways of finding the sex but they're way more complicated.

Sativa and Indica are just the two types of weed, one when smoked gives a good head high, the other gives a good body high (couchlock). Don't worry about sativa/indica just grow some weed!
