HID - high Intesity discharge light
MH - metal halide bulb
HPS - high pressure sodium bulb
LED - light emiting diode
Hydro - hydroponics
Aereo - areoponics
CFM - cubic feet per minute
SOG - sea of green
SCROG - screen of green
LST - low stress training
BB - bubble bucket
pH - power of hydrogen
THC - tetrahydrocannabinol
RES - reservior
DWC - deep water culture
N-P-K - Nitrogen, Phosphate, Potassium
Nutes - nutrients
Ferts - fertilizers
Hermi - hermaphrodite
K - kelvin temperature
P - plant
W - watts
Fem - feminized OR female
FIMM -fimming
DIY - do it yourself
MG - Miracle Grow
FF - Fox Farm
FFOF - Fox Farm ocean forest soil
FFHF - Fox Farm happy frog
RO - run off
ST - Super Thrive
EC - electrical conductivity
PPM - parts ber million
Trichs - trichomes



General Online Abbreviations:

i started my first grow with this site, and simply from reading everyone's input and reading grow journels ive saved so much effort and time with problems.


But when i first starterd reading these forums alot of the lingo did not make much sense until the bigger picture came along. and the familiarity came along. anyways + reps for the effort

i got a correction for you anony, u said FFOC = fox farm ocean forest soil, i thought it was FFOF = fox farm ocean forest. also ive noticed quite a few ppl use FF as an abbreviation for Foliar Feeding, & RO for Reverse Osmosis
