I just recently started a grow, something I have never done personally (seed to tree that is) and I just checked out my seedlings that I planted and I want to make sure they are growing in the proper direction. Basically what we have here is the seed and a small white root or stalk looking thing that has shot straight down into my pots. I just wanted to make sure that that was indeed a root and not the stalk going away from the light.

Also how long should it take for the seed to loose its shape as a sphere. I mean at the moment it looks like I got some deformed gigantic sperm in some soil. So for you smart growers out there heres some easy questions that need answering.

don't tinker too much with the young seedling, they are very sensitive at this stage.

yeah dude your fine.. you should notice leaves in a day or so.
