sexing during 24/0 ?

Hey guys, did a quick search and came up with nothing.

Well i started out a small grow on a budget, my plant is about a month old now and whilst its been a runt all its life, in the past week i transplanted it to some new soil and it has made a good turn around, whilst watering the plant today (i only inspect them when time for watering) it has started to develop little spurs where the stems meet the main trunk (excuse my terrible lingo!) from what i can tell, some of it looks like a female some male, Hermie?

I was under the impression you had to change the light cycle to induce sexing, its been on 24/0 since seed, its not a big plant by any means, a little bush really...anyways back to the question, is sexing under 24/0 (box isn't light sealed!) possible?

P.S. ill try get my camera sorted out later tonight and get some pics up, i know threads suck without pics

Those little spurs are probably normal growth. I know the strain I am growing had the same spurs where the stems meet the trunk and had the same question. Need pics to know for sure, though.

Well the good news is I'm quite sure its a girl the annoying part is i cant get this damn camera to work with my machine. Anyone have drivers for a Sony dsc-h5 (model #: dsch5b), the ones off the sony site don't appear to work which is really annoying.

These are the photos, the plants were transplanted yesterday into coco, part of the canna product range and i'm also using the canna A+B & Rhizotonic. Prior to this it was mircale grow tomato food (which is craptastic + time release soil)...ive lost the bottom 3 sets of leafs on the big plant to fert burn but she should be happy now sorry about the size of the actual photos. the big plant grows everyday now, the tiny little plant in the cup is actually the oldest, both it and the main girl got burnt badly to my inexperience earlier on, with time release ferts as well cfls. The other two are 1 week old seedlings, i also bought a 400W HPS with a tube reflector and light setup, its insanely powerful on a scale compared to my current cfl cardboard setup, ill need to buy/build a wardrobe of some sort and make a stealth setup, its to much heat to bother setting up with my ratty cardboard + beer can reflector setup at current.

Anyone struggling with growth, put some more fans in your grow area, soon as i got more air flow they we're much happier

so is it a girl?

Cheers

i personally couldnt tell much from that pic. what kind of soil r u using. that could be the cause of the slow growth, the perlite in you soil looks a little low but u cant always tell from a pic.

edit: i may be wrong but doesnt slow plant growth usually mean that there is also slow root growth?

The "Female hairs" that you are seeing are the beginnings of new leaves that appear as immature Female hairs do. I don't know why you're plants are growing so slow, Possibly its just a slow-growing Sativa? Your leaves also show signs of a nutrient deficiency. I'm no expert of Nutrient deficiencies, but it appears like Nitrogen is in lacking. That or you're growing in Miracle Grow. Hope I helped!

Hey, thanks for the feedback

I started out in terrible time release fert junk that i found, from here i worked out the plant wasn't happy and transplanted into, again time release fert (internet research later proved this rose junk soil wasnt good news ).

..then i moved to some truely organic soil from rotting food extracts that was OK and saw the plant start to develop root structure, then as of yesterday im using not a soil, but coco. Its from the Canna range of Holland. also going with this is additives A + B, and ive thrown in some Rhizotonic. Was recommended to me by my local hydro store owner, i haven't heard much information about this soil range, but i'm prepared to give it a shot seeing as everything else around my area seems to be garbage.

See how it goes
