Couple stupid questions

Hey gand...

Should I use potting soil, I mean the stuff with all the nutients & miracle grow in it...or yard dirt.
Also on seeds, I'm gonna show some real ignorance here but I gotta know...how can you tell a femail seed from a male? If I buy seeds off the net...are they sex'ed or whatever & ready to go? If I use seeds from the sack, do I have to plant both sex'es?

Sorry for the kid questions, I just dont know shit, but wanna start & dont wanna fuck up.

Oh, while I'm at it, how about ordering seeds...any trouble getting to the eastern states like VA or NC.

You got some reading to do mate.

Soil - Do not use yard dirt, and do not use anything that "feeds". You need to make sure your dirt wont burn the babies with feeding.

You cannot tell the difference between a male and female seed just by looking at them.
Since this is your first time, i would recommend using bagseed, then cutting down the males once you sex them later.

I dont order seeds, so i cant answer that one.

Don't use yard dirt, use potting soil.

You can't tell the sex of your seeds unless they're "feminized seeds", even then you can't tell just by looking at them, you'd only know by reading the packet. You don't know the sex of your plants until they start flowering.

Just start with bag seed, do a few grows until you're confident with it then order your premo seeds. By that time you'll have the answers to the rest of your questions.

Yeah, I have a long way to go thats for sure...but you guys are setting me straight so I appreciate that.
I've been offered a clone, never knew this guy was growing...pretty mean stuff too, to be cool I acted like I knew what he was talking about when he told me what to do with it...in reality I was totally freakin lost but just kept shaking my head in agreement. As far as I know its hydro, very nice buzz...once you get it burning, pretty damn moist, needs to dry out some more I guess, when I get some from him I have to keep the bag open for a day or two to burn good.

Found it, I've been looking like crazy for some quality head gear, for what I have paid for the trash I have been getting I could have got a killer headie, a member here from my state told me about a place right down the street from my house......thats freakin crazy right there...I've been in this state for 40 years, been a member here two whole days.
