Hey guys and gals,

Quick question for ya. I have a stealth cab with exhaust and intake fans for cooling. The humidity in the cab hovers around 16 to 30 percent. 16 is too low for my liking so im wondering if its possible to make it higher some how.

Also, the cab had a cooling problem, the temps reached 104 even with a large fan pushing cold air in to the cab. I was running a large amount of cfl's so to cool it I just turned a few off and the temps lowered into the 80's. No matter what I do with all the lights on the temps stay high and I cant figure the problem out. I have two computer fans pushing hot air out and a large fan pushing cool air in and the temps still stay high with all the lights on. If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

stronger exhaust fans, no intake fans. creates suction. but that also lowers the humidity.
if this is stealth, which it is, lets say its in your closet. keep your closet door open or its just going to be circulating the same air.. just in a bigger space. which wont do much.
now, as for humidity. a humidifier, which can be obtained at tons of places, or maybe a mister. a drip system onto a fan in the cab itself would work also. make sure the lights can tolerate high humidity though. try to keep it around 60% during veg and 45% during flowering.

I would increase the outtake. Computer fans dont push much air compared to others.
I am suprised cfl's made that big of a difference, must be alot of them.

Naucio, thanks for the great advice. I had never thought of the drip system on the fan pushing air in. Only problem is that I would worry about electrical components with mist flying around. What does low humidity actually do to a plant?

There are a good amount of cfl's to at least enough flower 2 plans or so and I am planning a "sea of green" with this grow so we will see what h appends. I have 4 sprouts that broke the surface yesterday/

definitely welcome and i'm glad to help. and i'm pretty sure it just stunts its growth.
or doesn't allow the plant to grow at full speed. which overall reduces yield.
people have successfully grown plants with extremely low humidity though, near 30%

try sitting a bowl of water under a really warm light bulb....it works
