Newbie help with lights

Okay im thinking about trying to grow a few plants just for personal use maybe 3 to 4
i don't want to spend a ton of money what kind of lights should i buy?

It depends on how much money you want to spend....

I know Im really new here too, and I dont mean to bust your balls....but I spent a month lurking and reading here before posting to find answers for very basic questions like this. It common forum etiquette to utilize the search function and keep repeated questions to a minimum....not to muention there's about a dozen sticky threads in here and the indoor forum that answers this.

You'll also get many more responses if your questions are more specific.

So i am leaning towards CFL's but im not sure what type of fixure to get of if it will really work any advice at all is greatly appreciated

bit more info mate
size of grow room
growing in soil or hydro
how much you have too spend etc

be able too help more bud

not much room at all
Soil grow
haven't really set a budget i just don't want to spend a ton
From what i've read i think CFL lights are the way to go for me
but i have no clue

read drbudgreengenes thread in advanced growing techniques. He uses things that can be found at any hardware store/ walmart. READ the sticky notes and facts...!
