Final Growing Questions

Alrighty, finaly hit the bong & found it was rere simple to grow weed. So here are my final questions. Leme get this straight, im growing with 3 42W CFL's & all i have to do is keep the light on them for 4 weeks so that they can grow tall & strong. & then i start turning it of for 12 hrs for another 4 weeks so it can flower & then begin to harvest? (not including all the other details in between)

Fertz: should i only start to fertalize the plant when i start to make it flower?

LST: Does LSTing make more bud than just growing your plant straight up? & should I bother doing it with a 19"x1'x3' grow box? or just grow the plant a foot then start flowering?

Thanks a ton for all of your help, Ill be well on my way once these questions are answered!

not quite. Yes, you can veg for 4 weeks, but under 3 42W CFLs you may want to grow a little longer.

Then, depending on the strain, it may take 8-12 weeks to flower. Really, it depends on more than the strain, but 8-12 weeks is pretty normal in most conditions.

Are you only growing one plant? Is this a femenized seed? If not, you may want to consider growing more than one plant in case you end up with a dude.

As for ferts, you should start ferts during the veg cycle. They will need them when they are only a few weeks old.

You don't have much vertical space, only 19". So if I were you I would definately look into some LST.

Sorry, I missunderstood. 3' isn't a ton of space either, so you still may want to look into LST.

I have one plant growing now that has 2 sets of tiny leaves & the third set starting to grow. Ill post a pic soon. & another seedling i planted is just barley starting to sprout. I have a question, when a germinated seed is planted and is just starting to sprout should the sprout be bent over & then straighten up towards the light? Because this is what both of my sprouts have done

I flower my plant 8-9 weeks. But don't start counting your weeks until it shows sex, NOT WHEN YOU FIRST TURN TO 12/12. As for your sprout it will grow toward the strongest light. you need to strengthen the stems with a little fan to help keep her growing straight.

GL with your grow and lets see some pics
