First Grow, CFLs, Bagseed Heavy Indica? Input please

High All!

Forum lurker but now first time poster.... So anyway, let me tell you about my grow... I have two 3 bulb (with dual-bulb Y splitters) vanity bars mounted to a shelf in my closet. This is bagseed from some good mids I got a hold of.

Lights: 13 CFLs, a mix of 6500K and 2700K bulbs. I adjusted the lights in height just before taking this picture, it previously was 2 inches away from the top of the plants.

Soil:
1.) Miracle Grow Organic Choice with 20% perlite in the Large white pot on right and 2 small green pots
2.) Generic Lowe's soil, very barky and acidic. The Large white pot on the left and the small white pot on the bottom have this soil in them.

Ferts:
Miracle Grow Tomato Food 18-18-21 1tsp mixed to 1 gallon of municipal water evaporated to remove chlorine.

Watering:
2-3 times per week using finger test. NOTE: When I water, I use half clean and half fertilized water.

Temps:
85 during the day with closet door closed

Currently on Day 35 from germination. 24/0 to 12/12 on January 1st. My largest, healthiest plant is on the right in the large white pot. She exploded about 10 days with a LOT of new growth but most of it hasn't really developed.... meaning all of it is still light green, small, and soft.

A few issues:
Some of my largest, oldest fan leaves have small cracks in them but there isn't any real evidence of nute burn. I have no detected any insects or pests.
Any ideas? Can I get some insight on how my grow is going?

They dont look bad except they look a little over watered and small for a month old. try 1-2 times a week especially when there small still. If you finger test it and the soil is dry wait a day then water. This really help promote root growth as your making them spread out in order to get water instead of just sitting there continually absorbing it.

85 degrees is a bit too high. 80 is usually the highest you should go. It does not look like your closet has any venting. Fresh air is a absolute 100% must for good growth. This probably accounts for the small size. Fresh CO2 is a bigger factor in growth and if you get some in there you WILL notice a big growth difference very fast.

Post a pic of some of these cracked leaves.

All so, why are you going to 12/12? I would get those guys a little bigger first and use LST since you have a small space to make your yield much bigger.

Good luck and keep us posted. Feel free to ask more questions.

Peace,
TCC

every other watering would be best fert sched, you plants look droopy and VERY green, could be nitrogen toxicity or could be over wateriing. still small for 1 month, they may need to be re potted to bigger pots, these plants do great in 5 gallon buckets, and those are far from 5 gallons, at least get some 2-3 gallon pots for those and in that space i wouldnt grow 5 plants. it might crowd it but u can prolly get away with it, get closer pics of plants
