Newbie Needs Guidance & Lots of It

Well a year or more ago someone I know gave me 7 seeds that were given to them. I believe these were freebees with an order. I have access to a already crowded green house and figured I'd just throw them in a pot and let them grow. I travel a couple of times a year and can't trust these babies with the house sitter, so when I returned from my fall vacation I wet a sponge and placed the sponge on a tray and layed the seeds in the crevices of the sponge. Then I just laid them in the greenhouse and they all sprouted (although one was very late in doing so and weak). The date I started the seeds was around the 10th of Oct. After they sprouted I put them in potting soil that I had around and all seemed well. I left them in the green house without any additional lighting. I figured it was good enough for the other plants growing in that already full green house so why not. These grew slow and with weak stems even though there are fans blowing in there. At this point I knew nothing about light triggering flowering. Well the next thing I know, some of the plants start to show the hairs of the female or the terrible balls of the males. Of the 7 only one was a male which I killed and five are females and one that was one of the runts that showed no sign of sex. The runt female died in time. Once I saw the flowers on the plants only 3 inches tall or so I started worrying and reading the forum. Then I learned about the 12-12 light cycles. Which in reality, I sort of have in this part of the country. It's actually not even 12 hours of light, as Dec 23th is the shortest day of the year. So I put them under a florescent light that is now on about 15 or 16 hours a day (still in the green house). It is now about 11 weeks into the grow and these things are still small. They are only 6 to 8 inches tall and still showing only 3 segments per leaf. I should say I have 4 females that large as well as two that are struggling. One of which is a female and one of undetermined sex. The small ones are only 2 and 5 inches tall and may not make it.

What if anything can I do to save this crop?

Around the 4th of Dec. I ordered some fems. from the Doc. which haven't arrived yet, so even if this is a bust I'll get another chance. Problem is that I'll once again be away the last 2 weeks of May. The thing I was trying to avoid is having lights blaring in the greenhouse when it's dark outside. I wouldn't mind running them for the 12 hours for the flowering this time of year. Then I'd get natural darkness the other 12 hours. So what if anything can you suggest.

any way you can put a box or tarp or something over em?...then you could just run a cfl under there on a timer for 18-6 or 24-7...otherwise start prepping for your upcoming grow...gl.

If you have no other place to grow except the greenhouse then you're going to have to wait until spring to sow your seeds. You need the short nights to get the veg growth.

What's the temp in the greenhouse? ..it might be too cold.

Cannabis is an annual, so it grows during summer, flowers and dies. The other plants in the greenhouse may be shrubs or ferns or whatever, they may naturally live for many years, but that doesn't mean the conditions in there will be appropriate for Cannabis.

Watch some of these videos, note down the tips on temp, ph, daylight etc, etc.

Then compare what you've got to the recommended values and decide if you can correct them.
