lemon extract?

Im fortunate enough to have had a nice harvest recently and I noticed something.My buds were tasty and they got me baked but thru-out the bunch I always had a slight aftertaste of lemon.Now I never thought of it at first but I used lemon extract to lower my Ph well water which is a bit more alkaline.I dont mind the taste so much Im just curious if anyone else has tasted this..Of three girls two had a lemony aftertaste.The other was a bit more piney/woody.My well water is like 7.2 to 7.5. and I use my water for my ferts and molasses.A good three week flush cause i quit feeding too early.Kept the lemon till the end tho.Should I have just gone with the heavy water.?

Wouldnt work with lemon I dont think. I am not 100% but, doesnt really make to much sense.
How ever, there are alot of citrus strains and a few lemon as well. Maybe you have a couple.
