SuperSkunk Clones Help! *pics*

Okay, I currently have 2 super skunk clones going right now, there looking O.K. I guess.... they have gone threw a lot of stress and I know it was my fault :[ The more they grow, the more the leaves on the bottom die. It has red spots on the fan leaves, and although they are growing at an alright pace (still slow), I know I'm doing some things wrong. When I first received them they were in rock wool cubes in soil. I have a DWC bucket so I transplanted them from the soil to the bucket, heres where the problems came in, I know I'm a noob grower and I try to learn as much as I can about it at all times. Well, I put in to much PH down in the res because it kept declining, so I noticed some bad effects from that, then I realized that the light was going into the bucket, (forgot to cover the other 2 holes I know, I'm stupid) So after I block off the light. A couple days later I went and checked in the bucket before I was leaving for a quick trip, and there was what looked to be foam. I had neither the time or materials to fix that at that moment but what I did have was some pots and some soil, so I made the transplant quick watered them, and left. So thats soil, to hydro, to soil (again I know, I'm an idiot) I was using hydro nutes for a bit (all i had), until I went to a local hydro store and bought some liquid nutes. So then I transplanted the 2 into larger pots and better soil. Then, another problem arises, its 75F outside one day, then the next it's 40F. (keep in mind that these girls are in a shed outside) all I have is a portable A/C unit. Only keeps it cool and everything flowing. So in the next week the weather changes rapidly everyday, some days it will be 70-75F (perfect for me) then the next it will be 40-55F, it is now at a usual temperature 48-50F, Big problem. Anytime it gets this cold the girls new leaves start to droop and it starts to look very sad. I'm working on getting a heater but I'm almost positive I'm not going to need one because I recently bought a 400W HPS light but, have not set it up due to lack of tools and materials. They are currently on 12/12, and I can see little flowers forming )) I FIMed my smaller one and it seems to be doing fine with that and all is well.

Materials -

Nutes -
Bonticare Pure Blend (soil) Bloom
Bonticare Cal-Mag Plus
Bonticare Hydro-Guard

Ph -
Stealth Hydroponics Ph up
Ph Test Strips

Fan/Airflow -
Small 2 speed turning tower fan
Portable A/C Cooling Unit w/ Dehumidifier

Reflection -
Black/White Mylar

Lights -
(Currently)
150W (325 Equiv) fluorescent spiral
125W (300 Equiv) fluorescent spiral
(Waiting to set up)
Sun System 400w Enclosed ballast.

So my questions are:
1.What can I do to help my poor girls?
2.How much heat do you think the HPS will give off?
3.Whats wrong with them from what you can see in the pictures?
4.What materials am I missing?

In my time of growing need PLEASE help me!

- Heres a design of what my grow cabinet will look like when it's ideal and complete.
(I made it all in paint ha ha)

- Watch them grow as I continuously make mistakes (at least I'm learning)

Sup bro. From the sounds of it you already know you stressed the hell out of you ladies. Give them some time to recover but it sounds like you have already moved on. You need to get the temp. and humidity under control ASAP. Those wild flucuations in temp are not making your ladies happy. If you are maintaining a temp of 80F during the day, at night don't let the temp drop below 70F or 10 degrees from your daytime temp. That might be a chore cause you state that it's outside and not yet complete right? You are going to have to think about ventilation cause the HPS will generate some heat and you want good airflow for your ladies. That's my 2 cents, I'm too baked to get into more detail . Good luck.

What is the current soil pH? It should be between 6.2-6.8. As CaliCoast says keep your temps under control; 60 degrees for the lowest, 80 for the highest. Out of those ranges growth becomes slowed amoungst other potential problems.

Second, the yellowing and browning looks like over fertilization.

Your second leaf picture almost looks like a magnesium deficiency but, sometimes the start of over fert will leave the veins green with yellow on the outside. Try some Epsom salt at 1/4-1/2 tsp per gallon of water. It can't hurt but, I doubt it is the problem; looks like over fert.

You got any grow books? I'm sure you got some High Times or Skunk but Jorge C. has some good all around beginner books. He's sure helped me a lot. Have a Home Depot near by? One of my favorite places to go since I enjoy the occasional DIY project. What's the climate like where you live? Snowy? Is the shed insulated well? Maybe you can insulate that shed a little better for easier climate control during the winter. Invest in some fans for good ventilation like I said before and I advise filtering intake air. Don't want any pests or fungis coming in and causing trouble.

I see same as Vtec. In addition, I see heat stress. Possibly stretch. I am baked and tired, could be off.

I concur, Magnesium deficiency.

Expect yellowing from N running down if you use a PK flowering feed, this would be normal but that sort of yellowing is entirely different to those pics, they go bright yellow.

Here's a guide which can help with differing problems in future.

Cut the forward locator out, 97.htm, and on the main page there's tons of useful info, all very good.
