i was just wondering if i grow a plant under veggetative state for a long period of time to a good size providing proper nutrients under a 24 hour light schedule will this increase its chances in hermie-ing and why would a plant hermie anyway if it thinks it going to die maybe stress i dont know can someone help me

i dont see any reason why it should hermie just cuz you vegged for a long time.

higher temp can cause stress, as well as many other things. And stress can cause a female to go hermie.

The reason the plant goes hermie is a survival trait... if stressed it will produce male flowers as well in order to fertalize its own female flowers.

I read something about this before... I'm not sure if it refered to flowering for an extended time or vegging continuously. I think flowering really long can cause hermie....??

And vegging for a really long time, your growth may just end up slowing significantly, but i'm not for sure if thats what the post said. I'm sure someone will pop in with the answer for you
