about LST

hi I have a very small growbox [ impossible to get bigger ] height is only 20 inches I afraid, that there will be problems with growth I purchased snow-white seeds from nirvana-seeds.com And I was wondering abouth height of those plants ?

If I will do a LST,maybe it's possible to get a normal result?

What type of light are you using? Also, how tall are your pots?

With LST, it is possible to grow in a 20" space, but it really depends on your lighting.

I searched anywhere, but I couldnt find any 6500k CFL, so,the only chance is to grow with some fluorescent tube lights [ there was only 14w ,about 23'' tall tube lights that's the biggest problem but i'ill put about 5 of them,i think that will be enough]

about pots? That will be my second question..

I found another place where to put my grow box,so I can increase size. now i can put 24'' x 24''x 15'' box. so,maybe somebody can tell, what's the smallest size of pot? If box is 24'' tall

Look for cool white or day light bulbs. Some light looks more blue that others and that is what you want. The other looks more red or yellow (2700K) and are used for flowering. I got mine at Walmart.

Like said, lighting will be your biggest concern. If you could use tube lights they will take up the least space. My clone cabinet is 30" tall and I use every inch of that and have CFLs in it.

Let's say you will need about 10" for your growing medium (minimum) and 4" for lights which is easier said than done. That leaves you 6" for plant but you better give yourself about 1" so the leaves don't touch the bulbs. That is 5". I bet it can be done but you will have a bunch of burnt leaves and stuff.

If you use a hydro system you can get by with a much smaller pot. I grow plants to maturity in a pot that is 8" in diameter by 10" tall. Maybe 1 1/2 gallons at the most. Otherwise you might need up to 4-5 gallons per plant if you are using soil. You will make better use of your space using growbags They will make use of corners that round pots can't.

I already said, that it's impossible to get CFL daylight bulbs. I searched anywhere. In my country it's impossible to get them. here I can buy only 2700k and yesterday found some 4000k bulbs. thats the problem. And thats the way I will buy tube lights

You said that you could not find 6500K CFLs. I was simply commenting that sometimes they do not say 6500K but they do say dalight or cool light. I was only trying to help. Don't get your panties in a wad.

I don't know anything about snow white seeds.

good luck

I don't think you can grow an outdoor strain in a total of 20" height growspace, even with LST that's too much to expect.

The 6500k CFL bulbs indeed are becoming harder to find, here in the USA as well. Keeping in mind that CFLs are produced first and foremost as replacements for home incandescent bulbs, the harsh light of 6500k isn't really a good home replacement, the 2700k are much closer to "regular" household light, and thus some manufacturers are phasing out the 6500k.

Just because a bulb says "daylight" or "cool white" does not mean it is 6500k. It may be the closest thing available on the market but still may not have great spectrum for vegging MJ.

they dont ship worldwide only US and canada,I think.

about seeds -
  • Plant type: Best suitable for outdoor growing.
  • Plant height: Medium- Indica/Sativa mix
  • Stoned or high?: Stoned- Indica Body Buzz
  • THC level: Strong 15-20%
  • Flowering Weeks: 8/10
  • Yield (Sea of Green on one m2) : 350-450
  • Harvest Month: 9/10
  • Grow difficulty: Easy (Good for beginners)

but If I'll build a 24'' tall growbox? maybe then will be alright? plant height isnt so big
