new grower needs advice

You've read them a hundred times...This newbie grower doesn't know where to start.

I'm looking for the cheapest way to produce the best bud. I'm growing in a 5' x 2' closet with some random seeds. What kind of pots, lighting, and ventilation would work best? Should I use fertilizer? etc...

I am always open to new idea on how to improve the content, and make the site easier to use....
Flouros are useful up to about 6 weeks, then they lack the intensity to finish the job. At that point it's wise to switch to an HID lamp, Halide or Sodium.
