i think the paper towel method is best. to dry, hang the buds upside down about 1" apart in a dark, cool, well vented place (put a fan in w/ them, but no direct wind blowing on them, its just for air movement), when the stem snaps, (not bending) about 10 days, then place them in jars to cure opening them everyday for 20-30min for at least 2wks. a good cure is 2wks - 8wks.

Sorry for the large image, I dont know how to resize. I am going to buy a few large pots. Grandpas guide says to use 1and 1/2 galf pots. Should I use something bigger?

stake them up w/ a toothpick or straw or something, they are stretching for light, move the lights closer (what type of light & wattage), for a cfl move them about 2-4" away, & put a small fan in there on low, this will help strengthen the stem. the rule of thumb is 1 gal pot per ft of plant, ex: 3ft plant = 3gal pot

as long as your intake is coming from another room w/ no mj plants, or from outside, just needs to be exchanging the air for fresh air.

Thanks for the info. What is the best way to stake the plant. I take it I should put the toothpick next to the stalk, but whats the best way to keep the plant to the toothpick?

I take if I go by the 3'=1gal. pot, a bigger pot would not hurt? I am using hps light. I just found a GREAT deal on the ballast and reflector so I should have it in about a week. Until then I will have to rely on direct sunlight from window.

Gets real hot during the day here, so I have my dark cycle happen during the hot times of the day. But having the fan running might not be good when the lights are off?

Some other guy said never to hook it to a timer, but he does not have as many posts as you. You will have to school him.

I try and maintain an even temperature in my grow, so I plug my exhust fan into a thermostat.

just take a piece of string, dental floss, twist tie & tie it around the toothpick & stalk, not tight, just to hold it up, leave space between the pick & stalk, or u can splint it by putting toothpicks all around it. & its 1gal per 1ft in plant heigth, ex: 3ft tall plant = 3gal pot, 1ft tall plant = 1gal pot. u might want to rotate the plants daily to prevent side stretching toward the window. & bigger wont hurt

i have my fans on a timer w/ my lights & never had any probs, lights on 75, lights off 68-69. whats your temps w/ lights off & w/ lights on. u want about 75-78 degrees w/ lights on, & 5-15 degrees cooler w/ lights off. well hes right in a way too, to keep the optimum temp growers will hook fans up to a thermastat & sometimes a speed controler to make sure the temps stay in range all the time

At night when plants are asleep they dont breath and hence wont need CO2 or fresh air but could need heat if temps drop alot. I will have to agree with JCJ about using a timer with lights and fan(for ppl who use there lights during the day) cause it just doesent seem necessary when the plants dont even use the air and since humidity usually drops at night the plants could mold easier when in flower.Everyone has a dif. grow technique which may need a twist to work better,like using that thermostat to control the fan when using the lights during the night times,the daytime heat could just get too high needing to vent only to cool the room.If the fan wont cool enough then an AC may be the answer.Hope this helps someone.

no, & most the vids ive seen just put the seeds in hole, but ive seen 1 vid where they closed up the hole & made one w/ a pen, the hole needs to be about 1/4" deep. go to www.urbangrower.com & watch all those vids.

It gets like 90+degrees in the afternoon when the lights are off in the attic. I hope that wont be a factor. Better hot then all messed up from a fan running all the time.

it depends on the strain, how long u veg for. but in general u can get a harvest every 2 months, w/ a continious grow cycle, w/ a mother, clones, & budding plants. usually u want to veg a rooted clone (10days to get a good root system) for 2wk then flower. go to youtube & search for "i grow chronic" & watch all 9 parts, its a vid that shows u how to get a 1/4lb every 2 months, or click my sig on my vid library & look for hydroponics setup vid. here http://www.veoh.com/videos/v649911SwYCkaQ2
