Is there any real down side to cloning?

For the odor control, lets say 2 plants covering about (5ft x 5ft). In an apartment in a closet. How can i stop odor from escaping?

if being done in a closet space (4ft x 4ft or less), is ventialtion still required or is it optional?
you cant tell when or if they are going to hermi, the only thing to do is look for small bananna shaped pods (female pollen sacks), & start removing them. if u have the time to remove all or most of the pollen sacks, no. you prob cant get every one, but the more you cut off the less seed youll get, but when you get a hermi w/ seeds, you get feminized seed from it. theres no down to cloning except the stress it causes to the donor. i grow in my walk-in closet (5w X 9l X 9h), w/ usually 1-4 plants, & odor hasent become a factor for me yet, & i dont use ventilation, just an a/c vent & 3 fans. now the closet will smell some, but it doesnt go beyond the closet. i have used those automatic air fresheners/nuterlizers set @ every 8mins, & plane garlic powder sprinkled on a paper plate put up high on shelf (w/ this the only thing i smelt was garlic), & venting is optional.

the soil ph is supposed to be 6.5-6.8, going by the soil runoff water you want a soil ph of 6.8. & there is now way to measure ph w/o a monitoring system. (ph meter) do it right or youll have probs.

that will get you started till about wk 2, but the rule of thumb is 50-100watts per plant, or a minimum of 3500-5000 lumens per plant, & youll need 6500k for vegging & 2700k for flowering. with your lights, your prob about 2500 lumens total.

Thanks Jc. I'll look into adding another fixture and 4' fluoro tube then. Will there be a "clear-cut" way to know that my plants aren't getting enough light and need more? Maybe I can get some reflective material around these guys also. I'll make sure to use those 2700k bulbs for flowering stage. ty

lack of light will cause slow growth, stretching, yellowing of leaves. use flat white paint or mylar or aluminum foil (dull side out).

if its standing water your plants will end up being over-watered & get root rot from lack of o2 & too much h20, + u dont know the quality of the water, eg: ph, tds, ppm. & nasty stuff.

Does it matter where in a 10x10 room a co2 burner is,hight and middle vs side or corner? Also when using it with a PPM meter is it better to place them as far apart as possible or about half the room width apart?

In a sealed room with a co2 burner and light with a simple timer should i just add a timer to the PPM meter/burner and set the burner to come on 15 min after the light? And im using a port AC unit which needs an exhaust hose out,but wont this be waisting my co2,making the room a negative pressure room? I know i dont need to vent the AC unit but that will cause the AC unit to work longer and harder,Whats the best option for all this?

The lumatek ballast power plug has two flat and the ground different than the 220 volt timer which has one flat and one verdical prong and the ground,i assume they are dif. amp. ratings. Whats the best way to deal with this delemma?
