Sick plant there, oci. A couple of questions:

First, I read somewhere that males generally grow faster and end up taller than females. I assume this is only means anything when you start to flower them, i.e. when they're in veg, height and sex are independant of each other? I ask because one of my plants is much taller and fuller than the other two, albeit it's four days older, but still, only four days. I figure it's nothing, but just curious as to the validity of that statement.

Second, is there a general regiment for introduction to feeding? I know I need to start feeding as quarter strength, but do I increase to half strength and then full strength in immediately subsequent waterings, or do I use quarter strength for a couple, then move to half for a couple, and then to full? Or does it not really matter?

Rather not have to deal with over feeding them or nutrient deficiencies is all, because that adds another level of complexity that I'd rather avoid.

That plant is 11357s from a few months ago.

Yes male plants can grow at a faster rate than females even in veg. but it is not ALWAYS the case so be sure to sex them to be sure.

Pure phed (R/O is best)w/ST during the first 2-4 weeks then yes,1/4 feed once a week 1/2feed the next and so on till full feeding is achieved, feed only once a week and pure h2o as needed.

All phenos will have slightly dif. feeding needs so watch them close for light coloring(needs more food)and burning(too much food)and adj. the feed PPM as needed.

Dunno where JJ is,sent him a few PMs too,i do hope all is well with him.

If i disappear for two days its because i was unable to fix my virus prob. cause JJ is all i have and i cant take a chance of anyone seeing my info.

ah me too. hope nothing has happened.

i have a couple questions.

first off, i guess since my plant is a full blown male, in its 3rd week of flowering, and im making cannabutter from it, does it really matter or not if i keep a 12/12 lights on it? J said it only has about 2 weeks before it starts to die. so i didnt know if it mattered or not.

also, the flowers that are on it, should i let them all fall off, or knock them off before i make this cannabutter?

should i cut the plant off at the lower stem, and hang it upside down and let it dry and cure for so long before i make cannabutter?

and do i need to make sure to dry the plant in the same specific way as i would dry bud?

i guess thats it for the moment.

Iv recently done my homework on cannabutter but using a male was never in anything i read.

Although it will have some THC in it i would use 4-8x the bud equiv. in any recipe, drying prolly wont matter much and curing wont at all.

I would either hang it (in case the stems have any good stuff)to dry for 4-10days or just clip it up and spread it out in the dark with a good amt. of ventilation as to keep it from mold.

After drying just make the butter and report your findings with your recipe

If its continuing to grow bigger keep it at 12/12 because if your only going to cut it soon it may slow down its growth after messing with the lighting, besides a 12/12 is cheaper.
