LST would be my obvious choice with only 3 plants.

Great buds are always dried just right followed by a cure of some kind and some length of time, within reason the longer the better when possible. This last and VERY important part will smooth out the smoke and improve the taste and smell making a very good bud even better.

ok. so ive got moved. my one "outside" plant, was so big i had to tape two boxes together to move it. there were only two branches at the tops that got bent a little. this morning, they were fine, you couldnt even tell it. thank god~ so, were i live now i definatly cant put that bad girl outside. poor baby. i went to wallmart, and i picked up a curly bulb. How big is big and how old(whenever referring to a plants size its best to give age and physical size whenever possible)bending/squeezing a plants branch is a good technique to better control a branch, for example a few branches are too tall so you pinch the branch so it falls at the weak point and soon (like the next day) starts to recover and grows sideways for a while till it gets strong again then grows straight up again.Look very close to all words on the curly light packaging(always called CFLs and always referred to in their actual wattage, not their light equivalency)for the kelvin color rating2000K-6500K,cool,warm,daylight etc,as this is important to know(2000-3200K.=Warm red light which is used more for flowering AND 4300-6500K.=cool blue light which is used mostly for the vegetative stage.)

i wanted two of them, but i didnt have the money. all the gas..gas..GAS!

in any case, this curly bulb is equivalent to 150 watts. it puts out 2700 lumens.

is this ok? and how close should the light be to the plant?

if i need another i will get it as soon as i can.

will i be able to use these bulbs during flowering? it doesnt really say if they are cool white or soft white. i got one of those clip on reflector hoods for the bulb.
does that give off even more light? since its reflecting..

A 42watt CFL will grow a plant through 10-14" ok but more is always better,100w and 5000 lumens is more like it for a short small plant.

CFLs should be 2-4" at all times( 2" works well for me always just as long as you dont burn the green plant material,if it turns a shade of brown its too close or it got wet and that water acted like a mag. glass(never FF under the light),allow 10-15min. to dry prior to returning it to the lighting source.A good reflector does wonders and is ALWAYS recommended IMHO for ANY grow light.

ok, ty in advance. and hey J... those are nice looking plants.!!!!!
This is what we are here for,we all started once and you will soon be lookin back goin WTF,I did it!!

Where can I go to read up on different strains for growing? I don't know much beyond basic traits of Indica & Sativa but would like guidance in picking future crops.

You can go 12/12 from seed or grow indoors at 24/7 for years, there is no set time to flower, thats one thing which makes our plants unique and exciting,we can make most of the choices.

HI all, Just a simple question.. just want to be sure on dont want to kill my little ones..

- outside
- ph is right and all that good stuff
im not sure when i planted them... but im going to say the first week of may, the second week the latest..
- the potting soil says it feeds up to 2 months so im thinking that the soil is running out of nutes, let me know what you think.. if so what do you guys think will work best.. i kinda dont want to use a time released, so if someone can point im in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.... i tell you what, i have only used ferts once, and it burnt my plant.

i give you the same advice i got.. use superthrive.

http://www.nehydro.com/index.php?mai...ndex&cPath=1_2

you can buy it at wallmart. or lowes, this link is just so you can see what it is.

i use a capful, or 1/4 teaspoon to a gallon of water.

and i use 2 capfuls of hydrogen peroxcide. yes..brown bottle peroxcide, and my plants look awsome! i dont even plan on putting any nutes on them. you can also get worm poop. you can find it at lowes or home depot, it comes in a recycled two liter bottle.

that superthrive is what i was told to get, and that stuff works wonders!!! the peroxcide gives them extra co2 in the roots.

good luck!

That soil is fine w/25% Perlite added, your plants are now over 4 weeks old and will show sex soon and also need nutes now.

Tx into a pot sized for a gal of soil for each foot of hight you will have in the end.

Get a qt. each of GH Floramicro and Florabloom and some Super thrive at Home Depot,(dont get the green GH as you wont need it ever.Look into the Lucas System(5cc micro per gal of water under Flouros and 8cc of the bloom per gal of bloom under flouros. Use ST in 2-4 drops per qt or 3cc per 10 gal.

hey oci, im really sorry i didnt even realize you answered me, i just thought you qouated me i didnt bother to look closer. my mistake..

my plant is about 3 foot or so, and about 2 months, and a week or so. (i shouldve kept up with it. and normally i would had, i kept kindof of journal of what happened when i planted during previous grows. (none of which sadly made it..due to issues.) anyway, i didnt keep up this time, because my dad passed away in april and i just had other things on the brain.

so in any case, i figure i can flower it, but im just not sure about that bulb. it puts off a yellowish light on the plant, but the box does not say rather or not it is cool or soft.
the actual wattage of the bulb is 42 watts.

it has been eaten a little on the leves where it was outside.

anyway, you think this bulb is ok?

omg, i have to add, that at the end of one of the branches, the leaves(?) are starting to turn purple. and... the leaves are starting to kind of look like they glitter on them, is this where the leaves are beginning to get crystals on them?
my hubby pointed out the purple, talk about making me so totally happy..
