Is it FFOF,fox farm ocean forest?Thats what we use with another 20-25% perlite added for better draining.Great stuff man!!

That is correct,the clay pellets are called Hydroton and that picture is a very traditional way ppl do hydroponics in bubble buckets and various other hydro set ups too.

A net pot is suspended in the top of a much bigger bucket(for nute solution rich in DO for healthy root growth)then filled with the hydroton and a rooted rockwool cube is added with the plant.(then covered with the hydroton or other cover to resist unwanted mold and fungus growth.

A few things. I'm a complete beginner and I really don't want to spend a lot of money at first, just for fear of messing up.

1. Can I just use regular soil with the white pellets?
2. Can I just leave it on my window sill and go off natural sunrise/sunset cycles?
3. I was also thinking of growing in my dorm closet. Is this feasible if I just use two shop lights and monitor the lighting?
4. How much can you smoke off one plant after harvest?

You'd be best off using clean store-bought soil to ensure it is sterile and has no bugs or any infestation in it. By white pellets I think you mean perlite? adding perlite (about 20% to your soil) will increase drainage and airation, so it would be a good idea to do that.

Your window sill won't be sufficient enough, either grow it under the proper indoor lights, or keep it outside under the sun. And remember, cannabis is a seasonal plant, so you decide on going outdoors, make sure to grow at the proper time to harvest accordingly.

I wouldn't grow in a dorm if I were you, your Dorm officers or whatever they call them always have the right to search your dorms withOUT any warrants whatsoever. This is a bit of a risky move, especially since your growing on 'school grounds'. But yes, it should be feasible if you use the proper equipment.

4. How much can you smoke off one plant after harvest?

Too many variables really, this depends on your strain, veging time, the amount of ferts you use, how you raise your plant, and other techniques you can use to help increase yield (such as topping, LSTing, etc..). Typically the longer you vegitate your plant, the longer it will yield.

I don't mean this with any offense at all, but if you want to grow, let me give you one of the best piece of advice you might need. Research, research, research. This forum is a great place to start, it's got waaay more than enough of resources, facts, links, pictures, tutorials, to get you on your feet.

I got a bottle of superthrive (i'm pretty sure a lot of you guys are familiar with this product, a vitamin b supplement) last week, and used it on some of my herbs and vegies I have growing, with great results. The bottle says it is ideal to use this supplement once a week.

Now i've read that a marijuana plant can be 'trained', per se, to take as much ferts as you want, but the only thing is you have to start of small, and continually increase it as time goes by.

this brings me to my question, can I also increase the dosage (possibly every 2 weeks) of superthrive and expect my plants to react positively?

and just to make things clear, superthrive and ferts do not conflict with each other correct?

There are no contraindications for using ST and your reg. nute solutions.

I use 4drops per qt. on small plants and 3cc per 10 gal. on larger ones with great results and after 9 months and over 30 oz. grown i still have some in my 4 oz. bottle.

Plants would only be about 18" max (i hope and plan but you know how that goes)so an equaly sized res to pot ratio should work fine.

yea, 40-50gal rexs should do just fine. i forgot u cant move the BB, look into a automatic light mover, that would be a great hlp.

yes u should water till u get runoff, u want to water till about 1/3rd runs out the bottom, this helps flush out unwanted salt build up. & only feed when needed. & your soil is fox farm.

thats a rockwool cube, & the other is hydrotron clay pebbles, used for growing hydrponicially, a soilless medium.
