Maybe if you're really going to chop them, looking at that red line, don't do them all at once maybe go a few days in between sessions until it's all done. id cut the day after u water, to ensure the cutting has plenty of water storage.

I have like 6 seeds that I just put in cup of water, I just keep them in overnight correct? Then there ready to plant?

24-72 hrs is typical(in the dark and a lil warm too)wait till you see a 1/8-3/16" tap root THEN plant it root up seed down 1/4" in soil and cover with saran wrap till it pops up solid.

Didn't want ya to have planted it before JJ gets on line in the morning.

soak them for 24hrs in the cup, the goodseeds should sink, after that put them inbetween wet paper towles inside of 2 plates or tupperware in a dark & warm place, & after another 24-72hrs they should have a tap root, when its 1/8-1/4" long, plant the root tip down & cover w/ soil & keep moist @ all times & keep in a dark & warm spot.

so ive got a few girls thast just sprouted. Im using 2 flouro cool bulbs. should i switch to one WARM light? what kind of chemicles could i be using and how sahould i use them. thay are about 2 weeks old. and if im planning on putting them outside after sbout a month of growing inside under flouros, shouild i start putting them outside to get real sunlight for a few days before i go and leave them outside under hot sun for a lot of hours. any help woild be appreciated.

yes, use a cool & warm bulb, mix them evenly. @ 2wks they shouldnt need fert yet, unless they are showing signs of needing food. they should be a nice dark green if yellowing begins (usually starting @ the bottom), then they prob need some food. any fert w/ a high n ratio will do for veg, eg: a 20-20-20, or a 24-8-16 will do (just examples) also "superthrive is a great suppliment for the plants & can be used @ any time. start feeding them w/ 1/4 strength nutes w/ a ph of 6.5-6.8. & only feed when nessary. & yes u should let them get used to the sun b4 u just put them out. try a few hrs a day & build up.

My question, is white widow a good beginner plant?
and, what's the difference between these two seed packs:

10 seeds, $92.20 http://shop.grasscity.com/shop/grass...ml?id=ThrABbYN

The second one is pricier and has less seeds, so i'm confused if is it any better?

white widow is a ok beginner plant, big bud is prob the best beginners plant. the dif between those 2 seed packs is the breeder, dutch passion (more $), but have been around for along time. the cheaper pack is from here grasscity & im not sure how long they have been breeding.

I know that when breeders list harvest potential for each strain it is under optimum conditions, but as a beginner could I expect half that maybe or what is a good guesstimate?

the breeder yeild esimates are really high, & ive never came close to what they say youll get. i usually average 3oz dry per plant. plants are usually 3- 3 1/2 ft tall. id say expect about 2-3oz off each.

Sorry for being so buzzed from my Papaya,Because i forgot that after the soak(when you see the seeds crack open in 12-48 hrs)THEN they go into the PP towels to grow the tap root to length.

Good thing its JJs thread and he is on it.

I vegged my plants for 90 days under T5s and then grew under a 1K and got 8 oz. off each,all 3 were 3.5 feet tall at the 3rd week of flowering and stayed that way till harvest.

JJ,The actual flowering time (mine were 60 days for all three) starts when a flower is seen right? Cause i started the time when i went to 12/12 but they needed 7-10 more days to ripen. Was this cause i should of started the time at the 7th to 10th day when i saw the first flower starting?
