Why 6.0 PH on the water? I thought 6.5 was optimal, but maybe not for TX.

Hey, I have an awesome spot to grow and I read the thread on LST. It's located in my garage so I can't really be around it a lot, it would be too obvious if I run into the garage everyday.

Well, the spot is about 18 inches high, 38 wide and 32 long. The problem is that I can't have any cords running or anything, that would make it too obvious. I plan on using that aquaglobe thing I saw on the infomercial, and coming in every now and then to fan it out a bit. But yeah, back to the real problem, I can't have any cords running around, I could try, but that's only if that's the last possible option. Is it possible to run light on battery power or something? I know it will probably be a lot more expensive but I figure it will pay off in the end.

its possible, but u would need lots of car batteries & inverters to convert the 12v to 120v. & will be way expensive & youll have to contsantly charge them (which can take 12hrs per battery), + the batteries wont last very long, they arnt meant to be discharged & charged alot. get a heavy duty extention cord & dig a trench & bury it in the ground.

w/ a hole that deep u wont need to water that offten, water when the top 4" of soil is dry, & just dont water the plant water all around, this will make watering less often. depending on plant size, (under 12") id say about 2gal every 3-4 days, over 12" id say 3-4gal every 3-4days. i have 3 outside & i rarley water them (1 time a wk)

As you can see, momma is outgrowing her alloted space....

P5120003.jpg

I have not found a good thread that explains where to make cuts to trim back the mother. The Bonsai mother thread is a bit too radical for me....

Any way to show me on this pic where you would begin to cut her back?

I wouldn't think I can't just trim off the tops repeatedly, but do I always want to trim off entire branches from the main stem, trim off woody (purple) stuff 1st, some of both? I assume I want to leave enough smaller green shoots for cloning, but can I just trim away most other stuff & more will take it's place? It almost seems like thats what happens...

ive never had to do this, but id say to cut off most of the top growth shoots/branches & some of the side branches, & from what i know, yes they will be replaced. try this link http://www.drugs-forum.com/growfaq/1270.htm & heres another https://www.gardenscure.com/420/grow...tml#post967862
ive been told this
Right about where this red line is.

I'd go even lower if I could see that undergrowth and it looked promising

As long as you don't need clones in 2-3 weeks and you don't cut off more than 55% of the total plants growth you could cut like crazy to get the height you want and then be selective as the need for clones is near.

My moms went OUT OF CONTROL and now i don't hesitate to cut their asses down when they start getting too big and they don't even flinch.
