When trimming 100s of nugs,do you cut out all the leaves that are big and medium from the stem then just trim the lil protruding tips???Thats what im doin cause thats what i think will give ME the best possible buds,

if u can pluck them out do that, if not ive always just manicured them down to nice nugs, & yes very time consuming

i have two plants currently one and a half inches long both separted on eather side of a average sized "party cup". When and how do i go about separating the two of these plants. I want to do the least damage as possible to these plants.

I would separate them as soon as possible because then the roots might grow together. GENTLY dump the cup on its side and slide the soil out and try not to dump the dirt on the plants. You dont want the soil to be completely dry when you do it and dont want it to be soaking wet. Keep that in mind.

I have a question as well. How long does it generally take for newly cut clones to root? Mine have been in a bubbler for 4 days and show no signs of roots. Should I wait or take new cuttings? The stems are purple.

Some have reported just a day or two to see roots but to consider them rooted it generally takes 7-10 days to do it right.

Are you using a heat mat and a dome keeping the RH high?

this happened to me along time ago, & all i did was take a pair of sissors & cut the cup in half, 1st getting the soil wet, after splitting the cup, i just split the soil ball w/ a big knife (or whatever) as close to even as possible, then replanted them into another pot. ive found that this didnt expose any roots, so the stress was minimul

oci is right, usually 7-10 days. did u take the cutting off a purple stem? ive had really bad luck w/ cutting off purple (woody stems), vs green flexable stems. & like oci said u need a heat mat to help promote root growth, & a humidity dome to hold in moister, since they dot have roots, the leaves are responsible for water & nute uptake, & u should be misting them w/ a mild nute solution.

thanks oci and jcj, really appreciate the help. the cuttings i took were from green and flexible stems they have just turned purple at the bottom. I am going to keep experimenting with cuttings and see if i can get ths right. thanks again.
