depending on the lighting & strain & enviorment conds., it shouldnt take more than a wk or 2. if your using cfgl's or flouros, keep them about 2-4" away from the tops of the plants, & get a fan blowing on them gently.

quick q's. if i keep a full sized mother plant on 12/12 light permanently, just for the sake of taking clones out of it, will it ever flower?

and, say starting from day 1 of germination, how many weeks will it take approximately before i should move them to the flowering room?

u cant keep a mother on 12/12, b/c it will flower. a mom needs to be on a 24/0 or 18/6 light cycle to keep it from flowering, & then switch to 12/12 to flower. the last ? is a personal pref, u can start 12/12 (flowering) from sprout, u can veg for a few wks then flower. it also has to do w/ space, in general a plant will double or triple in size once on 12/12. the longer u veg the more u will yeild.

As long as you give her what she asks for she will live. Most PPL use her for clones and then after a few months or even years they flower her and use a nice clone for the replacement mom.

yea, she will as long as u take care of her, ive known a grower that had a mom for 5yrs (15ft tall indica), w/ a main stem like a tree trunk. but like i preveiously said & oci stated, most ppl only keep moms for a short period, & keep a clone as the new mom & flower the og mom.

Is there any way to tell if i going to yield more than my max. allowable 1 Lb. of dried bud???

I only got three 40" plants plus my max allowable # given by my MD. on my recommendation which make up the lil hydro mini buds, those are prolly less than 1 oz. after dry.

With 15' of duct and this filter and that fan,is there really any way to tell what CFM is now moving through the filter?

Some pix of the set up and the BUDS,then some of the lil hydro set up (which has been the LEAST amt. of work i could of imagined),and finally my mothers(been hacking the tops to keep them under a foot)so i don't have huge unplanned unmanageable mothers which will NEED to be flowered on their dime.

Hey oci, not that I'm any expert, but isn't the vortex fan usually supposed to be mounted right on the can filter? I would think you'd want to mount a booster fan like jcj said at the end of the run & have the vortex on your can filter.

Any comments jcj?

Question:

If your growing in the woods in New England (northeast USA) how do you know that there won't be any pests that'll eat your plants. How can I prevent it?

Negative, any can fan will draw way better than it will push, especially through a light and 15' of ductwork.

IF, this system didn't kick some serious ass(cause it wasn't designed correctly) then adding a booster fan would be the thing to help it along, but since i started with a very high quality(Vortex 8" 747CFM fan)i can throw a 4"x4" piece of paper near the filter and it will stick like glue.

Theres 2 main types of filtration with this system,#1=basic exhaust and #2=Recerc./Scrubbing.
ATM,i NEED serious scrubbing and this works well as i smell nothing until i enter the room, was looking for a #75 but could only find a #50 and the #s were ok so i had no choice.

If anyone can help improve my set up i welcome any comments, any time.

And thanx for your comment too Mr. Rocket.

You will know cause your plants will be lil nubs.

Deer urine has been used to keep some pests away but JCJ will have more on that.
