I was going to go with a Vape but awhile back i read about some ppl using a dig. heat gun and a bong with similar results at a fraction of the cost and still having the flexibillity of the bong alone,does anyone have any info about the pros and cons on this.

hey jcj i got some nirvana big bud and speed queen from mandala coming. I may want to make a cross but dont know if it is more depth then i think and if it is worth it or not.

Basically collect the male pollen in a jar then brush it on the buds you want to seed?

All waterings get 2cc per qt. of Sensizyme,2 drops per qt. of Superthrive and are always PHed at 6.5-6.8 with runoffs consistantly at 6.7-7.0,and nutes have been equal parts of all three GH 3 part nutes up till the 6th week from 600-1200PPM and from the 6th week till now have changed the floragro to 3 parts,floramicro to 2 parts and the florabloom to 1 part to make about 1500PPM plus the 500PPM of whatever is in my tap water.(all tap water is kept in a circulating/air bubbling bucket for a min if 48hrs. prior to mixing then PHing and using right away).

I wanted one with an ice pinch but beyond that i was clueless,read about defusers and ash catchers but didnt really know much about them.

After going through my 500 questions and 20min.looking around i thought i knew new what i wanted.

Not sure about the 14 VS 18 (think its the glass on glass connection size in mm??)Seemed the bigger 18mm was better from what i saw(my uneducated guess).

I didnt want any rubber o-rings or plastic parts at all on this new toy,so i went with the glass on glass ground down to seal with a lil pressure type and went with the bigger 18mm (if i am correct).

I think the sales guy said it was 6-7 or 8mm thick,looks real beefy with about a 2" straight tube at 17 and 1/4" high.
4 and 3/4" base and a nice lip opening for the draw.
Its nearly clear with a nice tint of yellow (it said color changing on it,and i have noticed the yellow tinting does go from nearly clear to a lightly shaded yellow near the mid. to lower areas.

Nine inches from the top it has 3 inside probes for ice to keep from passing and just below that is some type of tube inside a pointy dome with 4 holes(its last built in defuser for separate water cooling.

Then a 7" ground to fit 18mm defuser which fits into a 1.5" diameter ash catcher thats about 5" long which also has its own built in defuser tube and receives a nice clear bowl with a lil handel,four parts in all.

The guy also offered me a $40 soft padded pockets and zippered EURO original travel bag for $20 so what the hell,i think it would make the bong warm and comfy.

I also got a 2.5" SharpStone four piece precission grinder for $25.

So the bong was $150,$20 for the bag and $25 for the grinder and no tax,$195 OTD.

Ive used it twice since i got it on Sun. and its by far the smoothest bong i have ever used bar none,the grinder works very well as well(I read somewhere about a grinder which was the very best and worth every penny,i hope the sharpstone was the one they were writing about)

The only thing which worries me is a seam in the glass just where the main built in receiver comes off the main 2" tube for the bowl or defuser,looks like its cracked all the way around or its the way it was made but unless it was designed in two pieces and seamed there with heat,it must be either where it was fixed or its cracked and it will eventually break.I did get a card and its not really too far away so if i can find it i will call him before i use it again and chance breakage and a complete loss.

Any comments or info will be greatly apreciated as this is my first glass baby and it works as great as it looks!!

the 1st thing i look for is weight, a good quality bong should have a little weight (thick glass), sometimes double blown, 2nd is how it looks, 3rd it should be sturdy & not tip or fall easily, 4th has to have a good base. other than that its all about per pref. hey a good way to get extra keif from your grinder is to keep it in the freezer, & when u need to smoke take what u plan to gring & freeze it for 15min, then grind away, youll get more keif this way.

yes your right, they wont flower until they mature enough (about 2-3wk). your plants look good except for their size for their age, they look like 1-2wk seedlings. be patien my freind & they will grow

thats the way i did it, & it worked for me. u might have to do it to a few dif plants to get a stable cross. remember that for every 2 hairs pollenated u get 1 seed, & when u do do this turn off all fans, etc. & dont cough or snezze

Hey man i hear you there with the vapes. Ive always wanted one but never could shell out money for one. I would not buy a cheap one, i would not buy a volcano or other expensive one. I found a few models on ebay around 120-160 is pretty much the most id spend. find one on ebay, read the reviews, etc. Before i order something i always spend lots of time making sure i cant get it anywhere else for cheaper. When i ordered my 6" vortex from the states for 139, i almost settled on a whimpy 4" for the same money just because i found it in canada.
I also wanted to chime in on the sharpstone grinder. I bought mine a year ago, same size 4 peice and i love it. Throw in a bud, grind it up and take it on the go. The chamber holds a decent amount of grinded bud for the whole day. I normally keep this in my truck for road hits lol. Ive gotten into 5 accidents in 10 years, all because i had no weed in my system. I need it to calm me down for road rage, speeding etc. lol

Hey guys! Got a weird question here- I know it could be researched but my browser is moving agonizingly slowly tonight (my ISP is the antichrist) and Im in a bit of a rush, so, without further ado:

I'd liberally estimate my marijuana consumption to be, at its peak, about 2 oz. a month. Given a total of 24 total oz. a year evenly spread throughout the year, how difficult do you folks believe it would be to grow the necessary amount of bud? (High quality here, I'm not interested in quantity over quality. Prefer both =P)

Specifically, how much space would be required (sq. feet, rooms, containers, whatever you like), how much it would cost annually (just a ballpark figure, like I said, testing the waters) and how difficult it would be (time required, security issues (assuming I don't sell to ANYONE and tell NOONE) and the like)

it takes me about 10-14wks from seed to get 2oz off 1 plant. its not hard if u put your time in it. youll need about 16sqf to grow about 4 plants, which shuld give u about 8oz. 1 pot per plant, 1-2 rooms (veg & flower), & cost is all up to what u want to invest, the start-up will be the most (few hundred), after that its minimul. all these ?'s are really hard to answer. go to www.youtube.com & search "i grow chronic" it a great vid to watch to get an idea. if u still have ?'s come back.
