Hi jcj77d and others, I have 2 plants in flowering and one of them looks kinda strange, it almost looks like its producing seeds. The buds haven't grown much in the last 1-2 weeks and they have all these round balls all over them. The buds aren't dense at all, full of holes, almost all looks like scrap. On my other plant the buds are much bigger and fuller so I'm not sure whats up with this one. Here's some pics of it, should I be getting it out of there before it ruins my other plant? Its basically ready for harvest, only been flushing for about a week though, its been in flower mode for 55 days, hardly any amber trichomes yet though, almost all are cloudy. Thanks for your help!

cool, are u flowering yet. if not try to raise your RH to 60%, just place bowls or cups, etc of water around grow room.

i really dont see much red hairs on it, the hairs will turn red/orange when they are pollenated. it looks pretty good except for bud size. that could be caused by to much N in flowering, this will cause sparce leafy buds. open up 1 of the little balls & see if u see a seed. if its a hermi then it will have seeds & can ruin the others, if no seeds then your good to go, keep it growing.

40% RH is pretty good for the desert,i live near the sea and have trouble getting over 50%.

Got a fogger in a dome with water and thinking of yoking it up to my clone dome on top through a 2-3" bulkhead giving the clones high RH,the fogger is fun to play with.

JCJ,lets try to design some nice homemade humidifiers out of these ultrasonic foggers.

Found a five head waterfall one which may work nice with a dog watering valve,you know the ones which keep the bowl full w/o filling every day? Just need a 1/4 water line in place which im workin on soon.

Just transplanted three 17" moms to custom 5 gal buckets with FFOF w/25% perlite,7 weeks old and tons of roots in the old 3 gal pots.

Been takin clones from the bottom for better air circ.,is this ok as some take um from the top i think?

Gona flower in soil my first time as soon as the clones root and grow a little,any advice??

Thanks, I took a few small buds tonight, once they dry I'll see what I have. I guess a better way to say it is all the buds are beady looking, my other plant doesn't look anything like it. The plant is in a bubble bucket and doesn't have a big enough air pump, no bubbles are coming to the top, that might be why the buds aren't very big too. So many possible reasons, thats what make it hard.

yea it is fun messing w/ the fogger, im waiting for my muffin fan to arrive to finish my diy humidifer. 1 day before you switch to 12/12 give the plants a good feeding with your Flowering Nutrients the next day turn off your lights for 24 hours not a second less. Then switch your lights to 12/12, keep a close watch for flowers when you finally notice flowers, feed again at half strength and then full strength 3 day after and continue every 3-5 days until you reach 30 days. When entering your 30th day of flower while the lights are on, give your plants a light flush about 3 gallons per pot, allow pots to drain properly. 3 days after the flush give your plants a feeding with your Veg and your Flower nutes both mixed at half strength. 3 days later feed with Flower nutes at Full strength continue this every 3 days for 9 days, By this time you should begin to flush slowly 2 weeks before harvest. To do this just use plain water for very watering for 2 weeks every 3 days, until harvest. This is a great Flowering schedule I learned several years ago hopefully it will help you as it has for me.

did u have males around @ any point in your grow. if not then u got a hermi, which will give u decient bud w/ femenized seeds. what strain? anyway its still nice & frosty. what did u do w/ that 5" inline duct blower?

Hempy Bucket
Hi every one i thort id add this system of growing i use and have used from the erly to mid 80s , As most of you that know me will all ready know that im a belive in simplicity and things that work and i only realy state facts that i have experencet from hands on.

I like the hempy bucket becouse of its simplicity and the price of the system (ITS FREE ) to make and has no moveing parts that can fail and once the plant has started its root system you can basicly water and forget it for 2 days or 3 depending on temps and you can grow eny strain from sativa to indica in it .

I basicly got the idear from my first hydro kit i ever got that was a tamato hydro kit and i found it realy easy to understand ,It was basicly an aquponic set up and the guy i had got it from i whent back a few years later telling him about my creation and how i got it from his idear and the look on his face and smile sed it all ,Iv spoken to a few people in the hydro industry about it and they all tell me it wont work it will couse root rot so on well there all rong becouse this method works and they say a picture is worth a 100 wards right lol.

I AM NOT SAYING THIS METHOD IS THE BEST BUT What i am saying is its a option and a easy cheep way to grow hydroponicly and nothing more, I have tryed a lot of methods and have all ways gone back to this.


To make a hempy bucket is simple all you need to do is this

Get your self a bucket eny colour but clear as you will end up with algy forming as the nutes react to the light .

The size of the bucket can very from 1 gal (4lt) to 5gal (20lt) ruffly i personaly like useing a 10 lt bucket and have had up to 14 oz yield from a single bucket but it depends on the strain and given phino .

Once you have your bucket then get a drill and drill a drain hole in the side of the bucket about 2 inch from the bottom , The drain hole can be around 7/16.

And the medium i use is perlite/vermiculite at around 3 to 4 parts perlite to 1 part vermiculite.You can use volcanic rocks but personaly i found the perlite / vermiculite a lot better in meany ways.

All you need to do now is basicly add the rooted clone or seedling water with nutes and thats it,I would water it daily until the tap root and root system has headed down to the res but once you see a desent growth rate id then start to water every 2 days.

The only thing rong with it is you need to hand water and you get run off from the drain hole thats it and as far as checking your PH well the only time you need to do that is when you mix your nutes i like useing a PH of 6.2 PH .

Like i sed im not stateing this methods is the best just saying its a option and a free one and it works and works well

its alge, to rid this, remove the top 2" of soil, & replace w/ fresh soil. to prevent let the soil dry between waterings, keep a fan blowing across the tops of pots to help dry top soil, & adding 10ml of 3% hydrogen peroxcide per gal of water will help.
